[a sign in the background proclaims this HOTTIES WITH STICKS YAKITORI HOUSE.

maxie sighs, leaning back on what is obviously a hot stove. his palm makes full contact and he doesn't blink, just leaves it there. the camerupt sort of lifts it's head as it notices this and maxie apparently doesn't.]

Cooking I understand, it's formulaic. A challenge I, Maxie, will rise to, if need be. When in Johto- [the camerupt makes a mildly distressed sound and maxie turns to it, brow raised.] What is it? I know very well you're not hungry, don't try that on me.

[camerupt makes more sounds please save it's trainer from himself dear god.]

Fantastic, and wholly unsurprising given what I've seen so far. I'd ask if this was common but I believe I can guess at the answer to that.

How difficult is it to find a job outside of this nonsense as an imPort?

Well, it's pretty easy. I landed one independently of the government's hand-me-downs after being out of the market whilst pursuing independent research. Point is, it's pretty easy if you're willing to trade on your celebrity status. Or to use your intelligence.

Psychiatry. Psychopharmacology to be precise. I believe in the effects drugs have over the mind and body.

Are the studies and resources you have access to largely different than your own world? I'd also be curious as to how these nanites effect our understanding of such things, or perhaps change the approach.

Well, psychiatry at its core is given to the prevention of medical disorders in people. I wouldn't say that makes my resources completely different nor unavailable. The medication available largely appears to be the same, though I have moved into the field of pioneering research rather than simply administering treatment and waving people on their way. I would also say that these nanites simply alter the perameters of any approach, rather than force a change entirely.
