Dears, I have a question for you! Has anyone who has been here for... let's say, over a year's length of time, although I suppose I won't be too choosy, but has anyone had something about their abilities change from when they first arrived?

Specifically, something that worked one way for a long time, but now works differently?

Has it been a good change for you, or not?

Ah, Haen. Has something changed for you? Hopefully not what you used to help me last year.

In fact it is! ... Sort of.

Not the ability itself, but I was just lamenting not so long ago that the pesky nanites keep undoing my perfectly good genework after only three days, and now it seems they're holding off a little longer!

... do you think they heard me?

[ It's pretty clear that Haen is excited for the potential here as well, but trying not to get too swept up in it before establishing whether this is a known phenomenon or merely a strange glitch. ]

I found that out when it rudely sent me away for a few months and made me feel like quite a fool, not being able to say where I'd been for it!

Mm, yes. That seems to be quite common. I disappeared for a day and came back with the ability to turn into a bird.

Oh! As in an entire bird? Not just bits of one?

I imagine that was a shock the first time it happened!

Oh yes. Delightfully so, but a shock. I adore flying.

Yes, I imagine flying would be glorious, there's always a demand for-- dear, why are you missing a wing?

Have your abilities undergone some sort of change recently?

Just the one of them! My genework isn't being undone quite so quickly anymore~! ♥

Of course I would, you silly cytosine! I'm just concerned, if this is only temporary, I shall be very disappointed.

What do you suppose brought about such a change?

Have your powers remained the same otherwise?

But yes, as far as I can tell, there's no difference in it. But perhaps that's because I brought my genessi ability from home.

It seems to be! Something which I could do but that only lasted a small length of time, is now lasting longer.

You know that the nanites have undone my genework after three days? It's taking much longer now. I'm still testing it, but I believe it a week.

Are you certain it was truly a change or have you simply increased your own abilities through your own inner strength? I would not put it past your brilliance to find a way to prolong your own genework.

Well, I don't feel any more skillful than I did two weeks ago, but I suppose we understand ultimately very little about how the nanites work to be certain.

Perhaps my brief port out worked for the both of us, then.
