I must admit, your particular situation does appear to be rather fascinating.

Are there many others like you in your home world?

[Ronan seems amused by that word. Fascinating. It reminds him of Gansey's initial reaction to his nature, an academic kind of wonder.]

I suppose that would make sense, given that you described yourself as "dangerously coveted" initially.

Would I be correct in assuming that such would not be the case in this world?

Or do people simply not know of the traits which make you so coveted here?

A little from column A, a little from column B. I'm not the last of my kind here, and on top of that, there's a lot more magic going on in general. But I try not to brag too much about what I can do. It'd be close to impossible for anyone to kidnap me now, it's just I don't want everyone bothering me for favors all the time.

I suppose that would make sense.

It is my understanding that sometimes the powers that one might possess in their own world are often altered when they come through the Porter.

Would that be true in your case as well?

I used to feed off of an energy source called a ley line. They don't have those here, so that gets complicated. Otherwise, I can't say for sure how different it is. I barely understood my power back home and the only guy who could possibly tell me more about it decided to kill himself instead. It was nice of the Porter to give me a neat little printout when I got here.

The files with which we are provided do seem to be rather convenient given such circumstances.

[Without his, he might have never had solid proof as to what his real name is - though, he did, of course, have his suspicions. Suspicions that were thus confirmed.]

I suppose I would pry further in regard to your powers, though I suspect that you will likely be keeping such information to yourself.

Are there a great many people from your world here?

[Ronan gives a shark's smile at the supposition, because it's true. His power isn't a real secret anymore, but he doesn't want to go into details all over the network.]

[There's a pause. This isn't the first time Ronan has offered to drink with D33. The first time, D33 outright rejected such a proposal.

I suppose that such a thing wouldn't be entirely out of the question.

Have you been left with the misfortune of having enemies from your world here as well, then?

"Enemy" isn't the right word. It's too complicated to put in comic book terms. I'm not even sure "bitter rival" is accurate. "Ex-boyfriend" definitely applies, but now we're getting into gossip territory.

I care little for gossip.

[He certainly isn't interested in hearing anything about "boyfriends" - what a foolish concept that is (even though he totally has one?)]

At any rate, I suppose you are fortunate to be lacking such enemies, if that is what I am meant to understand by your comment.

It's one of the nicer aspects of this world.
