[It might not be all that strange for someone wearing a mask to appear on the network; it might be a little strange for a mask covering the entire top half of someone's face, including his eyes. Not that Kanan seems at all concerned by this fact - he looks pretty relaxed, his attitude almost flippant. ]

I gotta wonder about a world with the technology to bring people in from other galaxies, but where no one can even get off-planet. Does that seem a little backwards to anyone else? Or nah.

It really is. I mean, I wouldn't hand a blaster to a kid without telling them how to use it safely first. Where are the instruction manuals?

There were none but they figure how to turn it on and work with it the year after the Porter was found.

And knowing how to turn it on means they totally knew how to use it.

Of course not. But it meant they could learn. And so they did.

They even used that technology to create teleport technology for themselves.

It strikes me as putting the speeder before the tauntaun, especially since their Porter is still kidnapping people.

The Porter was under their control until 2010, when they shut it off and it was meant to remain so. It turned itself on in 2014, after it was possessed by Lachesis.
