The staff know him as a permanent fixture, and that sure doesn't hurt when they give the odd freebie here and there. Today Gabriel is fanning himself with the menu, not looking too impressed with life.]

Heropa, I just can't quit you, but we have got to have words about this weather. I'm starting to suspect that the only place here with decent aircon is my brother's cell, and that's saying something. Nice to know where the taxes are going, not that I pay those. [Huffs] Anyone around here able to control the weather?

[Shrugs.] That reminds me, anyone seen Kaworu? Skinny kid, yay high, looked like an albino? Often seen with the most polite look of cluelessness I've ever seen? And trust me that's saying something considering some of the guys I know. I was starting to think the kid had gotten lost in the library, but maybe he went home? That or walked in front of a car, as nicely as possible. Both are very likely.

Not stupid, but he was a little strange. [ In a relatable way, though; Reiner doesn't say so judgmentally. ] He seemed like the kind of guy that doesn't worry a whole lot about what happens to him, which can be worrisome. I don't even know if he had hobbies or anything.

I'll look for him, we can at least confirm he's probably not dead.

Yeah he doesn't worry about it because he knows what's going to happen. Still, leaves a bad taste in my mouth that we can never really tell if someone has gone home, or are lying in a ditch somewhere.

Nah. The second one comes with being detained for twenty four hours and then escorted back. That was actually fun. I haven't spent time in a cell in Jerusalem for a good few centuries.
