he included stuff that doesn't explode and is more of just a day off from school or only celebrated by specific religious groups, mostly abrahamic. not everyone celebrates memorial day or presidents day or passover or cinco de mayo, but somehow everyone gets bombarded with st patricks and vday.

and he didn't include cool shit like earth day. or like most other religious groups in winter having their holidays.

earth day is about planting trees and recycling and remembering to give back to the earth everyone abuses the other 364 days of the year. nobody gives a shit about it except like, me, and elementary schools. so it's not a super in your face holiday like xmas and vday or whatever.

no, that's arbor day. like i said, earth day's about giving back to the earth. which i think is a nicer idea for a holiday than like, everybody gets drunk and barfs at a parade.

as far as stupid things humans do, arbor day is super innocuous, for once. plant a tree, dee. it feels nice.
