I should think of something for Mika. I've never really been the best with this stuff though. I guess it depends on what you know they like?
Doesn't have to be something material. Could be like, a trip together,
a photo album or something.

yeah, but .. i got anxious, haha. new relationship, you know.

oh! a trip together! i like that idea, even though .. we're .. a little more limited than we were before. but that might be nice. photo album could be nice, too. with a promise to fill it with more to come?

Ah. Yeah, Mika and I haven't been together for a year yet but I've still known him for like ten years at this point.

But that's what I did. Left some space for more photos. More memories together.

I guess I just thought of it since -- well. After the virus hit back home, we lost a lot.

what sort of virus was it?

About eight years ago back home,
it killed off most everyone over thirteen.

[Yuu was only eight at the time, so he had survived. And survived being taken in by the vampires through one of the nobles allowing him to escape.]

Yeah, it was rough. Still, we're recovering about as well as to be expected from it, so far. Made coming here a change again. Adjusting to there being so many people around.

oh, yeah, geez, i hadn't even thought of it. i imagine coming here was a shock for you.

when did you arrive?

I'm used to it now. I guess I just forgot over those eight years since it happened back home. How crowded things were.

I got here a while ago now though. Nearly a couple years, give maybe another two or three months.

oh, wow. so you've ... been here a while. huh. i've been here about 7 months, i think. being here a couple of years seems ... crazy.

Honestly this place is about as close to normal as I've had. In a long time. Compared to everything back home. I know it's still back there waiting for me to deal with it but.
