it's still a new relationship, so we're still .. figuring each other out, learning about each other.

but she likes helping other people, so how dumb do you think it'd be to do something like .. volunteer-based together? maybe a trip somewhere with some volunteering thrown in?

I think that'd be really thoughtful, actually. Although that might be a really great date idea.

Maybe also make her something? Are you crafty at all?

i ... am not. at all. i try to be, and i can get by, but like ... barely.

That could definitely work. Or maybe even just a weekend away? Someplace romantic? [ that's what adults do, right? ]

I always think that a new relationship can be tricky for thoughtful gifts but a handmade gift can sort of solve that.
