[Well, here's a VERY unimpressed-yet-annoyed looking Wanda, freshly back from the dead as of a couple days ago. Her phone is levitating a few short feet away from her, her chin resting on the palm of her left hand, with her thumb, index, and middle fingers resting against her cheek, the other two fingers curled up against her palm and cheek. There are scarlet colored, magical-looking wisps dancing around her fingertips.]

I'm certain this is old news to most of you, but given that I was too sick and then too dead to give my two cents on the matter by the time it escalated, I have some advice for anyone who wants to try poking at the porter again:

[A pause. A very annoyed pause.]

For fuck's sake, just don't. It's way more trouble than it's worth and, on top of that, actually detrimental, if last month's "inconveniences" -- [do you hear the sarcasm and air quotes in her voice at that word? because you should, as it's very heavy and obvious] -- were anything to judge by.

[So, that's her opinion on that; which is basically a whole lot of this.

She cuts the video abruptly there.]

Can't say I recommend the experience, though. Solid zero out of ten. [She lets a small smile creep across her lips a second or two later, glad to see him in one piece. Anyone in one piece after December was a good sign.]

[He smiles when she does and waggles a finger at her.]

I never would have guessed your energy drink discovery. [teasing slightly.] Won't you miss earth?

Of course, but I can pop down for visits all the time, and there is so much to do that when I am working, I just am enjoying myself immensely.

So when I am not working, sometimes, I hop down, like anyone else using a porter will.

[ He nods, beaming. ]

A lot longer travel distance though, but whatever works, right. I'm glad you're having fun.

True! It just feels the same, though.

And I am! it's kind of awesome!

[ He grins widely. ]

I agree with you. But don't expect it to stop anyone from attempting to engage it again. 'This time will be different' is what they will probably say, and the only thing that may be different is that they may cause it to shut down permanently.

Oh yeah, I'm sure some dumbass is going to try it again. [Look and hear how excited she sounds at the prospect. Not very.] It may either shut down permanently like you said, or just decide it's had enough of our shit and spit us all back to our home-worlds permanently. The one fortunate thing is that I don't believe it will be easy to get near it again. The government will likely put many restrictions in place and keep it heavily guarded.

Good. That doesn't mean people won't try, but, still, good. Were you messed up a lot too from the...side effects?

I was, yes. Badly so. I may have lived for the duration of it, but at points, one almost starts to think death is a better option.

What happened to you? Did you succumb to your body's ailments or had someone...

[ She trails off. Raina doesn't have to outright say murder for Wanda to know what she means. ]

[She makes a face upon hearing that Raina also suffered badly because of it. Some people seemed to have an easier time than others, but seems the both of them weren't so lucky.]

The second thought actually, surprisingly didn't occur to me, but in retrospect -- [it might not have been a half bad idea] -- my body just gave out to all the seizures. Guess that was my biggest vulnerability, given the nature of my powers and how they're mind-based. [Brain on the fritz, of course.]

Sorry you had to go through A Time with it too.

I spent a good majority of my time doing research on myself, trying to make sense of it. I didn't have much luck. But I imagine either the longer someone has been in this world or the stronger their powers, the worse they suffered. For you, it might have been the combination of both that ultimately made it all the worse.

Do you know of anyone else who passed away during that time?

Last time her sister swallowed the world, and she teleported us to a new reality. In the grand scheme of things, this isn't too terrible.

Probably not that viable -- which, I do rather like my basic functions intact, yes. [I mean no shit though.] Or the time that we all just get our memories wiped or something because it's done with our shit and meddling. That too.

Yeah the Avengers in my world have definitely had the mental manipulation thing checked off on the bingo card of shitty circumstances too, though not from someone from their past. More like some naive dipshit nobody at the time with a grudge, so more of a 'who the hell are you and why do we care?' and not 'oh you again'.

[What she doesn't say is that it was her that did it to them. Before she joined the team. Because yeah somehow they invited her on board after she made them see their worst fears -- the two with the worst consequences being Tony motivated by his fear-vision that he went to work building an army of peacekeepng robots (admittedly not a bad idea in theory, as long as it isn't done in ... a very rushed three days) that went sideways and happened to create Ultron (which she knows means that Ultron is on her hands too). And of course using that same fear manipulation on Bruce meant he became the Hulk and wrecked like half of Johannesburg, which meant even more casualties and property damage than should have ever happened.]

[ Yeah. Good thing she doesn't. You would think several years would remove the sting of House of M, but it continues to be a cautionary tale, when it comes to Wanda. ]

Because I wear a giant suit of battle armor, so keeping me out of the armor removes my effectiveness.

I didn't realize wearing forty bazillion dollar non-metal suits constituted as 'naked', but hey, learn something new every day. [that comes out with more humor than as a critical comment about lavish spending and Rich White Dude Capitalism. which, you know, it could have easily been, knowing her and her Opinions on Tony Stark, plus American Capitalism, and Rich White Dudes In General. might as well not Start Shit when she doesn't HAVE to.]

Used to? [He may be someone she has Opinions about, but she'd be surprised if any universe's Tony Stark didn't have as many friends in high places as he did in low places (sometimes those lines blur together, really), and could be a just as much of an influence to many as he was a deterrent to others. He's hardly non-effective out of the armor.]

Well, it used to be, you get rid of the suit, I'm out of commission.

[ A pause, and he sounds pleased as punch. ] Now, if you remove my suit, all you get is an angry technopath. Generally, that means I can hack their system before they realize I'm still a problem.

Lucky me.
