[Video] | [Action welcome for roommates]
[ It starts as a nightmare. Phantom pain flairs in Luke’s hand as he sleeps, and he sees it all over again: the black, hulking figure of the man he would come to know as his father hovering over him, lightsaber in hand. Only this time it’s different; this time instead of the warm air of a ventilation shaft, he’s surrounded by cold, steel walls. This time there are stormtroopers ready and waiting, and the gaping maw of space past the nearby hanger bay. ]
[ This time, there’s no offer to rule the galaxy together. ]
[ The lightsaber decends a second time, jolting him awake and filling him with a profound sense of loss that refuses to go away. It takes him a moment, struggling desperately against the horrors left behind by the dream, to realize he’s felt this before, only it wasn’t as strong and did not linger as long as it was now. ]
[ Because the last time he felt this, he was just starting to take his first steps into the Force. ]
[ Luke was diving for his communicator in the next moment, frantically trying to raise Obi-Wan, to no avail. After several failed attempts, Luke switched over to a public post, hoping it would catch the attention of a roommate or a coworker or anyone that would know him. He’s the very image of a terrified child when he appears on video, like he was nineteen and helpless all over again. ]
Has anyone seen or heard from Ben— from Obi-Wan recently? I’ve been trying to reach him, but he’s... he’s not answering. I-I...
[ Please don’t be dead. Please let his senses be wrong. ]

video.
Luke, are you all right? What's wrong?
video.
[ Luke is distraught, and he has to take a moment to breathe and pull himself together. ]
I just need to know if Ben’s okay or not.
video. as private as she can accomplish.
[ But a nightmare like Anakin's, she thinks, and that's reflected in the worry on her face. ]
With the Force, they can be real. I haven't heard from him in the past few days, but I can inquire if he's all right.

[Is he going to have to kick down the door with a gun in hand? He will, don't think he won't.]

I’m fine... just a little shook up.
[ And his arm still hurt a bit, but that wasn’t something to worry over. ]
Do you know if he has roommates? I didn’t see any when I was at his place last.

[Which is big, considering how much Han tends to avoid involving the police.]
You need me to come on over?

[ Sensing others from cities away was difficult, and he was no where near calm enough to try right now. Reading that his nephew couldn’t sense him did not help. ]

Otherwise, he has been ported out.

He's still on the name list.
[ That's... not comforting. ]

Only the government can track imPorts through the tattoo, but if you are worried, you can try tracking the communicator.

Her senses now were stronger than that day. Having spent some time with Obi-Wan here, the days when her abilities had backfired terribly and he'd cared for her, when he'd helped her in seeking out her crystal and piecing together her lightsaber over the past weeks, there may have even been some form of a bond that had grown. A connection through the Force as any Force sensitive would experience with another, one might call it.
But Leia's bond with her brother, it surpassed that. Tremendously. And so, that was why she was contacting him not out of response to his message to the network, but from what she'd felt. It was clear that she'd been roused from sleep, one as broken as ever, for her own reasons and for the distress she could sense in Luke. Her hair was down and tousled around her shoulders, the warm glow of a lamp at her back as the blue hue of the screen illumated her face. ]
—are you alright? Luke—
Video
...it's like back then.
[ His voice is soft when he answers her, actually scared. ]

Back then...?
[ Leia doesn't much remember the Obi-Wan Kenobi of their time. She remembers a hooded figure facing off with Darth Vader as they'd made their escape, the hum of the lightsabers, the clash of them. She barely remembers seeing the hooded cloak drop to the ground, no body in sight. Luke's scream— ]
Do you need me to come to you? I will.
[ Before he even replies, she's pushing blankets aside, the video shaky and all over the place with the movement. ]

He's not come home yet. Which isn't like him.
[Which, I might note, she would know, as she and he share a place. 013 MFalls. If Luke does show up, she'd be pacing the house still, if not getting ready to leave to find Anakin.]

josh is not an empath or a force sensitive or anything like that, but he is the clone of a very special man with very special powers, and he can sort of tell when there's something.. off around him. there is something very off down the hall in luke's room, and when he peeks down there, there's a light beneath the door.
hm.
he takes a few seconds to consider his options, then simply gathers up a blanket from off the couch and heads down to the older man's room, gently nudging the door open. normally, he'd never even consider being so rude, but it's special circumstances, and if he knocked and luke answered (or didn't), it's not as if josh would be able to hear him.
he takes a moment to take in the scene--wild hair, stricken expression, panic practically radiating off him in waves--and then steps in closer, gently draping the blanket over the blond's shoulders and easing himself down next to him. ]
What happened? [ he signs as he speaks, because it's instinctual even when he's trying to accommodate hearing people, then points from his eyes to the phone luke's practically hunched over. ]

I have a bad feeling.
I think a friend may have died.
I hope I’m wrong.
