[Today there’s a video by someone that a few might find familiar. He’s not really a fan of using the network, but it’s a bit necessary this time. However, for those that know him, he looks a bit off. Maybe it’s the grave expression on his face. Or the fact that he’s wearing something other than his usual Jedi robes. Perhaps the solemn tone in his voice that isn’t quite usual. Either way, it won’t be hard to figure out he’s not okay despite what he says.]

I apologize if I’ve worried anyone.

But I’m here, and I’m all right.

Though I do hope that no one has done anything foolish because of me in the interim.

[There’s a seriousness in his voice at that last sentence that’s more like him, and in the next comment.]

Oh, and Bane. I would appreciate it if you would return my lightsaber.

All right, I'll have some tea ready for you.

[And true to his word, by the time Luke does managed to make it to the little housing complex in Heropa, Obi-Wan will have put on a pot and kept it warm. Only waiting for Luke's inevitable arrival.]

[ It took Luke a little bit to get there, and when he did he held out the reason for Obi-Wan: a small Tupperware full of slightly burnt cookies he had gathered. He looked ridiculously sheepish about giving them to him; it was his first time trying to do it on his own the other day. ]

Hey; I thought you might like some.

[When he opened the door to greet Luke, he was surprised to see the container of cookies. Taking them, he opened it up to look and while they were slightly burnt, that didn't matter. A warm smile came over his face, touched by the gift.]

Thank you very much, Luke. They're cookies right? Chocolate chip?

[He was getting used to the foods people ate around here. Some things were similar to back home, while some very different.]

Yes.

[ Luke shrugged sheepishly. ]

Han says chocolate is supposed to make everything better. I don't know how much I believe that, but...

[That drew a chuckle from him, and Obi-Wan stepped aside to allow Luke to come in.]

I would say it is worth a try.

[It was very thoughtful gift, and he was certain he would enjoy them.]

Come have a seat, Luke.

[ Luke slipped in happily, unable to keep the smile off his face. It felt good to have Obi-Wan back, alive and well again. It made him feel like everything was okay again; that he wasn't going to have to feel something as horrible as his death ever again. ]

[ He curled up on a chair, giving Obi-Wan a chance to do what he wanted with cookies and tea before speaking. ]

If it's okay to ask... what do you plan to do now?

[Luke's cheerful smile was infectious and wholly welcome. Like a ray of sun in a dark cavern. It helped to lift his mood even further as he put the cookies on a table and brought tea out for both of them. Offering a cup to Luke, he then sat himself down.

The question though gave him pause.]

I'm not entirely certain to be quite honest. Returning to the Maurtia Falls Police Department is not a decision I am comfortable with.

They... really didn't seem to care about what happened to you.

[ Luke make a face. Granted, it could have been because they knew Obi-Wan would eventually return, but the fact that they had to very nearly pull teeth to get them to treat the body that had remained with respect instead of just leaving it there was something he preferred to forget about. ]

I can't say that I'm surprised. My popularity among my coworkers was a bit lacking.

[Though yes it could be that they knew he would come back, but it was likely more than that.]

The Maurtia Falls police department is quite corrupt, and I wasn't playing along.

[ Luke shifted in his seat, half curling up in it. ]

Mother's the ambassador now; is there any chance you can work with her to help reform the department?

[Looking thoughtful at that suggestion, Obi-Wan used a hand to stroke his beard.]

Is she now? I’m glad to hear she won the election. I suppose that is something I could bring up with her.

The more support she has, the better. I admit I'm a little worried for her.

[ He knew she could handle herself politically, he's just worried if someone tried coming after her from a non-political angle. ]

She is a very strong willed woman, but... perhaps she could benefit from some Jedi assisted security.

[Its notvas if he hasn’t protected her in the past.]

[ Luke smiled knowingly at that; strong willed woman, hunh? Gee, who did that remind him of? ]

Let me know if you need any help.

[ He may not be a Jedi yet, but that didn't mean he wouldn't go running to help. ]

I shall, of course, thank you Luke.

[He knew Luke wanted to help, that was his father in him. Always wanting to help people. It came from both his parents actually and it warmed his heart.]
