Hello! For people that don't know, I'm Tailgate!

I've decided I'm going to run for Ambassador of Nonah! It sounds like it could be fun but I know it's a serious position as well and I will be taking it seriously if I get it!

My main focus is to improve the treatment of us that are non-human. Because I understand how insulting and hurtful it can be to also be given a human form, as if how we are isn't good enough. We shouldn't have to hide who we are, be proud! I'll have better housing for those that might not fit into the small accommodation set up.

There's already support groups...I think? Well I'd give funding to those!

And I want to hear your ideas of what you'd like to see be done, about anything related in Nonah, I'd totally give it my all to see what can be done to help you. It doesn't matter what your registration status is either, because I believe in fair treatment for everyone.

That is an admirable cause, certainly. And I'm glad to see that you care about listening to those affected.

I do not have personal familiarity with myself with the difficulties of setting into a different body as has happened here for many of you. You find it insulting and difficult?

When you've lived your whole life looking and living a certain way and then it's changed? It's hard. I had to learn how to be organic. Which is insulting because it's like, I'm not allowed to always be myself?

I can see what you mean given that explanation, yes. I suppose I have seen similar difficulties in species adapting to other worlds before.

How do you think it could be helped?

It's the Porter that controls whether you get given a human body so there's nothing I can do about that. But I would make sure there's plenty of spaces for support and maybe even hold lessons on how to be human. I'd want to have accommodation that's suitable to people of different species.

Have a place where we can actually help each other out.

I admit, I had not considered the difficulties of being forced out of your own body in order to fit in. Clearly it is something I should bear more in mind. What, have you found, is your greatest challenge?

They got robots here too? And what's that "Til all are one" supposed to mean? One what? Sounds a mite bit strange to me.

I'm Cybertronian, not a robot? Biiig difference. It's my campaign slogan. It was some prophecy or something back home but Rodimus used it a lot and it reminds me of home. I guess it could mean until all imPorts no matter how we look and natives become one united community?

So what's a Cybertronian then? Because from here you look like a 'bot. Maybe you should think of what your slogan means before tossing some old prophecy out like any of us are supposed to know what the hell you're talking about.

Well I'm not AI, I don't run on programming. This is another problem to address, not everything metal is a robot. I have thought about it! And I just came up with how it would work in the campaign as well. You're being rude.

And you ain't making much sense. Right now I'd vote for a cute dog in one of those cowboy costumes instead.

The idea you're campaigning on is the one I'd most relate to, but I don't know you well enough to draw a conclusion about your ability to make good decisions.

I don't have any political experiences honestly. [Or much life experience.]

But I have the drive to makes things better and use my voice if I get voted in.

Well, one good decision is to campaign all the way as I am right now and not use the human form. It's a young child, so it would be weird and I don't think I'd be taken seriously.

How old are you, and are you considered an 'adult' by the rest of your species?

I'm 6 million and I would definitely be considered an adult. [Not necessarily mentally though ha ha haaa.]

While I am twelve "years" old, my human form is an adult male. I find it odd that yours isn't the same.

I can understand why you would find it insulting to be given a human form, when yours is inherently disrespectful of your age and maturity. It also means that in order to fit in your provided housing, you have to be in human form. Fortunately, I am relatively human-sized. For you and Riptide, it is not the same story.

If you are serious about running, I will vote for you.

This is an excellent issue to campaign on, and certainly one that deserves attention regardless of the outcome of the election.

You have mentioned housing and the rather questionable practice of encouraging you to hide your true form, but have you given thought to the healing...er, technical care that you may need? I understand there are clinics for those of us with bodies of flesh, but I have yet to hear of any for the more mechanically or technologically based members of our community. Only some cobbled together efforts for an individual.

Ah, that's a really good point! It's definitely something I'll research into to see what there is that could be done. It's difficult for me and Riptide, the other Cybertronian here, I don't think there's much of anything that could be put in place for us. We're kind of hard to hurt. But for others, definitely!

I see. It does seem like a complicated thing since you are certainly more advanced than the technology available here. I know I have little hope of understanding it myself, but felt it an important matter to suggest to you.

And yes, I am running in the election, but I have a great interest in hearing what you and our other competitors have to say. I want to be certain I know what to expect if one of you wins the vote.

Oh it's a great suggestion, thank you! If we had the technology then it wouldn't be so bad, but we just have to be careful. Others shouldn't feel like they're stuck if they get hurt and we can't always rely on the nanites they gave us.

Are there any opportunities for humans who might like to participate in outreach?

There's always opportunities! I wouldn't turn anyone away, that would go against my slogan!

I'm interested in forming positive relationships between the human community and nonhuman imPorts. The nonhumans from my home were almost invariably hostile to us, so I much prefer a relationship where dialogue and cooperation is possible.

That said, as I am human, I am also interested in seeing Ambassadors who'll represent the human community well too. Do you have any plans for those constituents?

That's a great question! [He might be low level panicking right now because he didn't think this through beyond nonhumans.]

I think there needs to be something for both kinds on imPorts. We've all been brought here, not all of us are happy about it, I think there should be the opportunity to come together and talk about it, for support, to vent frustrations in a safer environment. I'm totally open to suggestions and seeing how it could be achieved with the influence the role gives.
