i think about horses a lot

almost as much as i think about love and romance and dating boys

so when i needed to come up with an opinion poll for a school assignment, what better topic than horses, right, and then i saw this

so here's my opinion poll, should horses wear pants??? or are they beautiful enough just the way they are?

Exactly. But I doubt the horse needs pants to be beautiful.

though unicorns are nice, too, and they're usually more sparkly and colorful than ordinary horses

maybe the horse can wear unicorn pajamas instead

Are they? I have to admit I'm not really familiar with either horses or unicorns.

unicorns are a mythical creature! they have a horn on their foreheads and sometimes have wings too. they're usually drawn as being sparkly or having bright colors or even having rainbow-colored manes and tails. so they're like horses but even better.

Four legged beast of burden? Hm. They're your favorite, I take it?

yeah, I've loved them ever since i was a baby

my parents have a picture of me when i was 3 or 4 holding onto a toy horse hanging on the wall

and dad told me that when i was a baby, he took me walking around the amusement park down the street when i wouldn't go to sleep one time. he said i couldn't look away from the wooden horses on the carousel and started screaming when he tried to walk away :)

That sounds really cute.

My apprentice has quite an affinity for animals himself, particularly the animals of his homeworld.

that sounds nice. i didn't actually ride a horse til i was 13 and only saw real ones a few times before that, but whenever i did it was always nice. we were too poor to afford having any pets, let alone a horse. i love them but they can be expensive to take care of

We've never had pets back home either. It's not really feasible for the way we live.

Because you travel a lot, right? you have space travel, so i assume, anyway.

i can't imagine any animals would be comfortable on space ships

Yeah we basically live on a space ship back home. No room or anything for animals.

i feel like being able to travel through space would make up for it for me, though

it sounds amazing

It IS pretty cool, though I never appreciated just how cool until I got here and couldn't do it anymore.

Earth is huge and has some pretty neat stuff but it's also expensive and slow to travel far away

and it's got to feel a bit like being trapped when you can't just get on a ship and go to another planet whenever you want

It's a little weird but also interesting.

Getting to see how the other half lives, I guess?

I hope it's been a good experience, at least :)

and there are so many interesting people here. i've made so many good friends

i wasn't so great at that back home although that's mostly because my siblings are my best friends, and we spent most of our time in the restaurant anyway

Expanding your horizons is always a good thing.

it has been pretty great doing that here, even if I miss my family a lot still
