i think about horses a lot

almost as much as i think about love and romance and dating boys

so when i needed to come up with an opinion poll for a school assignment, what better topic than horses, right, and then i saw this

so here's my opinion poll, should horses wear pants??? or are they beautiful enough just the way they are?

yes!! horses are smart and strong but they deserve to look and feel nice too

That's right! Why else would they have such lovely hair to braid?

Of course you are! My darling childhood chum Genevieve got her first horse when she was scarcely old enough to sit on its back! I'm sure you could earn the pocket money with a little after school job.

that's so cool!! I've wanted a horse my whole life but my family couldn't afford one back home

and we lived right on the beach which isn't ideal for horses

I have been saving up for a while to go to horse camp this summer!! and maybe I'll get one for my birthday

I don't know about that. I think horses deserve a beach vacation as much as anyone else. But you should absolutely go to the horse camp, darling! Would you and the horse be sharing a cottage?

and i met my imaginary horse on a deserted island. i tamed him then we rode down the beach together!!

a cottage or a stall. honestly I wouldn't mind either way, as long as the horse and I get along

oh, i'd do all the caretaking myself. that'd be part of the fun for me!

well, except maybe the... business. that's not very fun

I always thought so! and he was definitely a champion, even if he was wild. only I managed to tame him!

oh, it is. the first horse I ever rode was named Plops. he was very smelly

I imagine so. I take it his was an onomatopoeic name?

i tried everything I could think of to make him like me but he wasn't having any of it

Then I say he was a bad apple with awful taste!

our personalities weren't compatible, I guess

i hate to think of any horse as being a bad apple

but then again, just because it is a horse doesn't mean it will be nice, as much as I wish they all were!!

That's very mature of you to say, dear. I hope your eventual steed is wonderful and you're very happy together!

me too! one day my horse will come. and maybe the horse will carry a prince.
