Hello.

[yes, hi. it's kind of overcast today? but not bad. nice enough to be outside here in chilly ol' Maurtia Falls.]

I've been informed by a good number of people that the season will be changing soon. And that it can be quite a sight out in the countryside, just outside the city proper. Would you say that's true? I'd like to see a lovely spring again. I hope it can be as much that as it could be peaceful, considering how...hectic life can be in this world.

The snow is fine, and even the warm climes farther south of here are pleasant as well, but... There's something special about spring, I feel. One where things refresh and renew, making the whole place feel and even smell different.

[her thoughtful smile twitches into a self-conscious grin as she looks from the sky back down to the screen.]

Is that naive of me to hope here? I'll hardly hide how still new I am to the world at large here.

Well, to be fair, I guess I don't know you that well. First impressions though.

Fair, indeed. And there are worse impressions to be left with, so I'll take it.

[a beat. she tilts her head, unable to keep curiosity in check. this is the incredible healing woman, after all.]

How have you been, since our chance encounter?

Still here. Still not dead. [ If a voice could shrug. ] I suppose you're still swinging that sword around.

Of course. I'd be loathe to part with it. [save for like...you know. bathing or stuff like that, but that probably doesn't need saying.] It can be hard to find keen and able sparring partners, but there are several about. It's not all dealing justice to the criminal.

Oh, goodie. [ A bit dryly: ] There's more of you.

[with a laugh:] Oh, I'm quite sure you can find an even amount of cynicism and sourness to balance the cheeriness, Andy. There seems to be an abundance.

I'm offended by the implication that I would never want to infringe on a club of enthusiastic and perky sword-wielders.

Who else would keep such sorts in check?

Sounds like too much work for me. But I wouldn't mind keeping my sword arm strong, if you get tired of sparring with the sunshine guild.

Might have to point me to where I could get a decent blade though.

I know of a vast horde, whose owner I'm sure would be delighted to hear of another warrior who has respect for a blade. [her eyes crinkle with her smile.] I have a feeling I can procure something for you.

Are you sure? I might be picky.

[fauxmarth]

[assuringly, though with a chuckle:] You would have to work hard to find a poor blade among the collection. It'll just be a matter of taste -- and I'm sure you may find one that suits you.

Alright. Who's this sword collector then?

[fauxmarth]

My cousin, Odin. He's amassed quit the collection here in his time -- all with names of value and grandeur. [that's not silly, mind; she sounds proud of him. BECAUSE SHE IS!!!!!!!!1]

[ Oh. Right. She had mentioned family, hadn't she. ]

Do I have to keep the name?

[fauxmarth]

[chuckling:] I promise not to tell if you forego it.

When do I get to meet him?

Oh! Well, once he returns back to the city, we can arrange a visit. He's traveling at the moment, but will return presently!

Must be nice. You didn't go with him?

[fauxmarth]

A-ah, well... [a little sheepish:] It's not so much a family trip as it is one, I think...for romance? Not something I'm keen to be in the way of.

[ Her pause is almost tangibly judgemental. ]

[ The place where everyone eventually gets ported out and forgets? ]

Well, yes. We are here right now, after all. It's not uncommon at all. Why, some have even wed here recently.
