Hello.

[yes, hi. it's kind of overcast today? but not bad. nice enough to be outside here in chilly ol' Maurtia Falls.]

I've been informed by a good number of people that the season will be changing soon. And that it can be quite a sight out in the countryside, just outside the city proper. Would you say that's true? I'd like to see a lovely spring again. I hope it can be as much that as it could be peaceful, considering how...hectic life can be in this world.

The snow is fine, and even the warm climes farther south of here are pleasant as well, but... There's something special about spring, I feel. One where things refresh and renew, making the whole place feel and even smell different.

[her thoughtful smile twitches into a self-conscious grin as she looks from the sky back down to the screen.]

Is that naive of me to hope here? I'll hardly hide how still new I am to the world at large here.

[she goes a little pink, sheepish.] We-well...it's what I remember! When I was little, before the war escalated, I remember being taken out to a springtime festival at a nearby farm village. [her smile goes a touch softer, fonder.] I remember it being a whole lot of fun...

[ghoulking]

Hm- it sounds like a gentle memory. [ he smiles wider and nods ] I'm certain there is a farm festival somewhere. You should go with your loved ones.

[fauxmarth]

[while still feeling a bit silly, she nods in agreement.] Oh, I...I'm sure I'd love to see what sort of festivities are here on this world. There's--well, sometimes things here surprise me with how similar they can be in the...oddest of ways. I'm sure you understand.

[ghoulking]

I do, I really do. I think every world has some sort of similarity to this one - or the other way around.

Maybe it's on purpose.

[fauxmarth]

I admit...I'd be comforted if it were so. As though so many different worlds shared common links for a reason. Don't you think so? As though we were all connected by unseen, distant, but strong threads...

[ghoulking]

Perhaps that's why we are all here - we are all connected in a way.

It's a nice way of seeing it, I think.

[fauxmarth]

[nice, yes. perhaps a bit too idealistic, but...hell, she's all for it. she nods agreeably, still a bit pink at the cheeks.]

I'm relieved to hear you say so! That is-- [head tilt.] You've been here for such a while...my fear is one would be more cynical or less likely to bother thinking on such things. I'm glad you're not so.

[ghoulking]

[ ahahahahahah kaneki is 100% cynical, he just doesn't show it at all. But he has about zero hope, and a lot of what he says they are just nice words only to make others happy since he doesn't believe them himself ]

It depends a lot on each person, I'm certain .

[fauxmarth]

O-of course. [she dips her head quickly at that.] I wouldn't want to assume that there's...only one, inevitable way to go about thinking of things here, that'd be foolish! [who's foolish? not her. she can...think about things objectively! absolutely!

and she can be embarrassed of rambling and steering conversations in weird, ambling ways, too:] Haa...from farms to worlds tied by invisible threads... You'll have to forgive me, Kaneki. It must sound silly.

[ghoulking]

That's quite alright. it shows you have different interests, after all. [ it's easy to talk to her too, and in a way, it's sweet to just hear her talk like that. He hopes she can keep that sort of innocence and eagerness through her time here - and also her time back home. Someone should, at least, and it's not going to be him. ]

[fauxmarth]

Oh-- [does it? she laughs a little sheepishly.] Well, that's as good a thing as any to hear. So--so thank you.

But, ah! [farms? oh, festivals, right.] Perhaps you'd know already--what...other things people do here for the change of seasons?

[ghoulking]

Hmm - well, Easter is coming up. It's not exactly to celebrate the change of season since it's related to this country's religion.

But it's close enough, I'd say.-

[fauxmarth]

Easter.

[huh. has she heard that being tossed around while out and about? maybe? probably. maybe an advertisement in a store window or something.]

It must be a little less intense than what I've heard tell of the winter holiday. Otherwise...I think I'd have already learned well enough about it simply walking down the streets! But now that I know...I can keep a sharper eye out for mention of it and see what it has to offer.

[ghoulking]

It's also another religious holiday, so I can't say it's less intense. Christmas celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ and Easter his death. [ kaneki isn't exactly great when it comes to religion, so it's not like he can tell which is more important. He celebrates neither. ]

There will be a lot of chocolate, if you enjoy that.

[fauxmarth]

[with a chuckle:] Well, I don't think I've turned it down yet; it sounds as if it's something interesting to look forward to. There were similar observances in Ylisse, relating to the divine dragon. [a bit sheepish:] I can't claim to know all of them, myself, but when there was more of a presence of the clergy, there certainly was some hullabaloo related to similar milestones.

[ghoulking]

Divine dragon - the one your sword and bloodline are related to, correct?

[ he hums ] I think religious festivities will always have a great impact, specially if these are big religions.

[fauxmarth]

Mm, that's right. That--and perhaps more. Ages ago, people worshiped other dragons as well. Maybe some still do. I'm--not quite sure.

[ghoulking]

Actual dragons? So they exist in your world?

[fauxmarth]

[nodding.] That's right. Dragons, pegasi, wyverns...many of the creatures this world treats as myths and fairy tales are as real as you or I where I come from. But...I wouldn't recommend seeking one out. A dragon, I mean. They're quite fearsome, even when minding their own business.

[ghoulking]

I can imagine.

We have had dragons in this place before. ImPorts, of course.

[fauxmarth]

Gods...and the place is still standing. How big were they?

[ghoulking]

Crematia was huge in her dragon form. And an imPort had a very large dragon as one of her children, who came with her through the Porter. [ Droggo was considered a power, actually ]

Kang is still around and he is a dragon as well.

[fauxmarth]

Still? [she sounds incredulous; wouldn't she...have seen such a thing?] I...I take it their forms are small enough to avoid mass destruction, then. Wow. It's--actually hard to imagine in this world!

[ghoulking]

I would say it depends on the dragon, but none of them tried mass destruction apart from Crematia.

[fauxmarth]

Goodness...

[wow. wait--] So...if there's dragons here, then...what of pegasi? Wyverns? Gryphons?
