I'd say you know and care and that's what counts, but yeah, it can suck if you don't have friends around to enjoy something with you. But we're stuck in a place where no one knows who we are. If you want people to know, you gotta tell them.
We seem to have fallen down the rabbit hole in this situation, so why not make every day your birthday and never claim to age? Hell, de-age yourself. No one has to know.
They yanked us here from everything we've ever worked for, and into this place where supposedly we won't remember anything IF we happen to go back. So yeah, why not?
You know, I would think the questions would be, "do birthdays matter if the years don't line up, and we haven't been born yet?" or "if I arrived two months after my birthday back home, but it's also my birthday next week, how old am I?"
If you're only upset that nobody sent you a card, then I wonder: how many have you sent, first?
If you want it to count it could. If you know it's your birthday than one person remembered it - you. And if you don't know your birthday, you could pick one. Or another date to celebrate. Being alive is something to be celebrated. Especially for those of us who wouldn't have had anymore birthdays back home.

Well it's true. Your birthday is your birthday regardless.
Did you want a party? What do you like to eat?

[He may have been stewing about this for that long.]

Perhaps now that you have let others know, you can do something... fun for it?
[It's not like she's good at these things. Celebrating birthdays is beyond her scope apparently.]
