12. A Rolling Stone Gathers No Mozz [Video]

[continuousgroaning]

[Tina's happily humming to herself as she turns the feed on. A notebook is lying on Maurtia Falls #003's kitchen table, and she zooms in on several labeled drawings of burgers as she slowly flips through the pages:]

Magnus Burnsides - mango salsa with "sideburns" of hot peppers
Wizard Of Mozz - Italian sausage patty, topped with pizza sauce and mozzarella
Merle Highchurch - Pan fried, topped with a few different kinds of greens
Detective Angus - made of Angus beef with a mystery cheese inside
Max - a long bun with two mini patties and fried pickle wheels, to look like a skateboard
Sharpedo - sharp cheddar cheese with "fins" made of nacho cheese Doritos
Pikachu - put pepperoni slices for cheeks, olives for eyes, and mustard for the face on the patty
Exeggutor - honey and egg bun with two fried eggs

[Tina then shuts the notebook and turns the camera on herself, looking quite proud.]

This has been my latest project- coming up with burgers themed after imPorts I know. I want to sell them, maybe at swear-ins, or something like that.

If you could make your own burger, what would you put on it?

I'm glad. I want to have one for every imPort eventually... or maybe not, that IS pretty ambitious. Plus I don't know everyone...

That'd definitely be a lot of burgers but it's a cool goal to have.

And I'm sure not everyone likes burgers. Or needs to eat. I know a droid, and he'd probably just smash it for his BlueTube channel if I served him one. Not that I'd mind that...

Even if they don't all eat burgers, it's cool that they'd all have one named after them anyway. At least in my opinion.

Uh-huh. I see it as a way of... paying tribute to people, I guess. I can't contribute much except my burgers, but it does take some creativity. It's almost like art, in a way.

[beyourzoomer]

It's a cool thing to do, Tina. [Max doesn't feel like she's contributing much either. She might have super speed on her board, but it's not like she's some big hero like Eleven. She kind of wishes she was.]

I'm glad you think so. I do feel... kinda useless, sometimes.

Me too. A lot of the time, actually.

[continuousgroaning]

Which sucks because it's not like any of us ASKED to be brought here, and it's not like anyone expects us- or me, anyway- to contribute anything more than I already do. But I'm used to working. I'm used to having a specific role to play in things. I'm still figuring that out here.

[Max hadn't asked to be brought here, but she also doesn't want to go back. She knows there's no guarantees, considering that Nancy and Will and Mike have all been sent home since she got here. She could get sent back anytime. She thinks about home, about how little she felt like she was really part of things, like there wasn't much she could actually do or help with. Like she couldn't make any real difference.

She could now, though, couldn't she? She had powers, and maybe they weren't super strength or invulnerability, but she was fast and she and Steve did stop that armed robbery awhile back. Not intentionally, but...that could always change, right? There was no reason she couldn't use her powers to help people.]

I think everyone is.

But we can do it. I have confidence in us.
