[He's in a bit of a hurry so he'll make this quick:]

When someone drinks too much, what do people do to help them feel better? What's the cure? Sometimes, we'd cook this fish back home that helped out or our elder back home used to do a bunch of mixing with herbs and stuff, but I doubt that's the case here.

Also, this isn't as important, but. What's a Catty Purry?

Coffee, Chinese food, bacon, and other assorted greasy things.

After a good helping of water and a shower.

Do you just find all of that in a store?

Coffee you can find anywhere. All those places with steaming cup logos with slight variations? That's where you get your coffee.

Chinese food's a LITTLE bad at this hour, but any place that's like "Frank's Diner" is definitely what you want for the greasy spoon type of food.

A load of coffee and grease then. No Chinese. Got it.

[A few moments later though:]

They're asking me how I want the coffee. Hooow do I want the coffee??

Just black. She doesn't need any froofy drinks in these hard times.

OH wow. Wow. I tried a taste and that is really bitter.

How do you deal with a girl who's now blaming you for trying to do a nice thing?

There's a huuuuuge difference between doing a friend a favor and embarrassing her (as a relative newcomer) to everyone on here.

Especially some people she knows to be her "heroes" back home.

Plus, you should still ask. You don't show up with dinner as a favor when you don't know if she's eaten dinner already, right?

I wasn't trying to embarrass her. I didn't even say it WAS her. I was just trying to find something out because I don't know how things work in this place.

No, but she also could've ordered pizza and figured out her coffee maker on her own. I get the feeling that she's had to do that a lot. She's probably not used to relying on other people, and her best friend is Loki, which says a lot. Loki's a ... good friend on some days, but he definitely isn't the type who's forcibly breaking down anyone's barriers. That's something you need to remember. Her helping you was an external thing.

For the next few days, you let her cool off. I'll talk to her. We'll have a boys are stupid good ol' time, and she'll blow off some steam.

And then you apologize.

In the meantime, you ask me for help. I don't mind if it's just to ask why the big screen in your living room doesn't have an "on" button like everything else. It'll give her some time to deal with the whole boundaries being crossed deal.

Well, if it helps any, I feel like a complete ass now, so that's been accomplished.

Giving time is always the safest plan. She doesn't really, really hate you, but she's allowed to be upset. You crossed a few lines here, and the important thing is knowing that you did.
