Listen up, guys, this is important. [ he's never really been a huge fan of Big Talks, and prefers to leave that kind of junk to newt and minho. "be careful, don't die". that's a good way to go about it. kate's better at it too. but this really isn't about thomas's comfort level with attention. the talks that are just rattling off facts are fine, but this is kind of more serious. ] There's a couple shanks-- people we know, sort of, that are probably gonna die if we can't figure something out to help. At least one of them is gonna be shucked, and we're running out of time on it.

[ good job, thomas, great start, way to not sound socially inept. ]

I didn't want to put this up on here, because we were worried about the security on the Mirrornet, but I don't think there's a lot of choice, and besides, nothing's come out of it yet. At least as far as what we can see. [ he and kate had talked it over, and considering the importance of getting this out, and the lack of any other real resource outside of getting emma frost to be their new internet, this is it. ]

Anyway, about a couple weeks back, Jesse helped me with a power boost to contact Holiday telepathically. [ he's obviously a little awkward feeling about saying that - the telepath part. he's aware it's not anyone's favorite power, and he's tried not to talk about it much if he didn't have to since getting here. welp, cat's out of the bag, this is too important. ] Guy's head was an total mess. I couldn't make a lot of sense out of it, but Dr. Chilton, maybe you can. Or any of the rest of you. [ whom he already sent the transcript to. thomas takes a minute to clear his throat, hands fidget where they're lying on the desk in front of him, phone propped up against some books. ]

Thing is, though, halfway through, Holiday went quiet, and Salvatore Quisma showed up. If you guys don't remember who that was, there was an article leaked a while back talking about how Holiday came out of a coma right about the same time Quisma was reported dead. He was an imPort who did a lot to improve imPort relations and benefits in the country - his power was possession, and that's what ended up with Quisma sharing a headspace with Holiday. Said it probably saved his life.

You guys remember back in the swear-in months ago, how people were saying they talked to Quisma's ghost? That was something he tried, seeing if he could part from Holiday for a while, using astral projection - another power of his. Quisma was saying he thinks that's probably what started to cause Holiday's mind to go all whacked. But Quisma's power is fading out, and he's probably not gonna be able to hold on for long. And if he goes, he doesn't really know what's gonna happen to Holiday.

We can't just pull Quisma out without a good way to keep him going at least as a projection, or without knowing what'll happen to Holiday if he loses Quisma supporting him. So we need people who know this kinda klunk. Ideas, information, anything.

I've got a transcript of how the conversation went. If you want a look, lemme know, and I can run a copy to you, or get a technopath to try to secure the hell out of this junk. I'm not sure if the government shanks know they've got Holiday and Quisma, or if they're stupid to the whole thing, but if they are, I'd rather it stay that way.

[ he takes a breath, letting it out slowly, as he looks down at his hands. ]

Quisma and Holiday both put a lot of effort and took a lot of risk in trying to help us out here. I think we owe them something for that. If just trying to save a couple lives isn't enough for you.

I keep thinking about healers, but where would that leave Quisma?

[In fact, she's circled back to healers so many times on her own list of "how do we help Holiday."

Was there no way to help him that way before? What about now?]

Yeah. But heal him out of a coma?

[ he's thinking the same - if that were possible, wouldn't an import have done it already? ]

It leaves Quisma shoved out. He projected himself before, but he still had the body to anchor him back to.

I'm more worried about Holiday, myself. Quisma's powers... we would at least have some sort of way to anchor him, if we had someone who knew what they were doing. I've seen it done before, by the League, back home.

But I don't want to accidentally kill someone's husband.

Yeah, that's the thing. One of those is something physically managable, even if it's take a medical miracle - we have those aroud here.

The other? Not so much.

[All this talk about ghosts and possession... it flies right over his head. But this, this is something that's familiar, at least.]

I got the same message as well, only he claimed that it was because I was somebody who reached out to him in the past, and someone who could be trusted. Which is *technically* true, but... well, the details are complicated.

My point is, he's targeting people who have spoken with him in the past, correct? What other information has he shared with us?

Holiday could just be regressing because his body wasn't ready to be woken up from the coma in the first place when Quisma borrowed him.

Yeah, that could be it too. He'd said Holiday almost collapsed back into a coma when he'd tried leaving him before.

I dunno. [ he shakes his head. this is so far out of his depth. ]

Must a host body be living in order for Quisma to possess it?

I wouldn't know. I don't do a whole lot of possessing these days. [ yeah he's really out of his depth on this. ]

You'd think, though, if the body was already dead, there'd be some kind of decay going on.

If a healer can help fix up Holiday, that doesn't necessarily mean Quisma dies. Two minds can live in one body even just as a temporary fix.

No way of knowing for sure if it would work without knowing more about Quisma's power though.

i think if a healer could fix what's wrong with holiday, they probably would have back in his first coma.

I think our best bet would be using magic. Someone with experience- playing with this kind of thing is extremely dangerous.

The only person I know who does any kind of possession would probably not answer questions, and I think he's gone anyway.

So Quisma really is helping Holiday, and us, but now they're both in danger of dying.

[An act of true love? Probably not. Something more practical.]

The only imPort I know of who could also possess people was the Manipulator, but he wanted to die, so I doubt he knew anything about stopping death like this. Do we know of any other people with similar powers?

The Manipulator? Who's that? Are they still here? No one that I know of has a power like this.

[ So, a lot of this is really over Grey's head. He's a do-er, not a thinker. He has no idea how to help either one of these people, but if it's important to Thomas then it's important to Grey. ]

What if he gets in there and doesn't wanna leave?

According to Peter Narga's version of the story, the government doing experiments, trying to rip Quisma out of his body so he'd hang out without a body forever. If that's true, guess it didn't take so well.
