[Hello, Citizens of Heropa. Hope you're enjoying yourselves on this fine day! Because Metalhawk sure isn't. In fact, he was doing the same as you, performing everyday routine in his apartment and getting ready to go to work...and that's when it all went wrong. The feed opens up to show...a little minor structure damage--a broken window and door at most, both of which now have a giant metal wing through them. Sitting in the center is a giant robot, at least 27 feet in height now curled into as tight of a ball as he can, to avoid further destruction.

And boy, does he not look happy.

Looks like you finally got your third (and original) power working, Metalhawk!]

I can't say this is very ideal.

[There's an annoyed sigh, wiggling his wings slightly to try and get them out of the doorway/window.]

Would anyone be free to assist me? If I can just get outside...

[Yeah, that's not happening. You're huge, Metalhawk.

Well I dunno, maybe it's different for you guys. Seems like getting to third base before you're up to bat, if you ask me. [walLY

He pockets the screws and pops the door off its hinges, then slides it off of Metalhawk's wing and tossing it down onto the lawn.] Yup, that door is totally ruined. [and that hole is still way way too small] So, can you like...not move yourself around at all? Like parts of you or anything?

...[Blink blink.]

You're speaking...baseball. And that sounds like cheating.

[NO. NO HE'S NOT METALHAWK. AND YOU'RE AN IDIOT.

But at Wally's request, he moves his arm so that...well now an arm is sticking out of the building. Really, if his shoulders were a little less HUGE he could have probably worked his way out. But he's built like some weird hourglass.]

This doorway might have to be forcibly widened.

[Sigh.]

I'll have to pay it off, I suppose. Hopefully the others don't hold too much against me.

Yeah I don't see you getting out of this without breaking this wall some more. Sorry big guy. [Wally steps back onto the sidewalk and looks over the house.] I thhhhhink as long as you try to keep the damage more vertical than horizontal you should be fine. it's a load-bearing wall but there's additional support with the second story framework, so. I'll guide you.

I suppose it can't be avoided.

[At least they could attempt to minimize the damage, right? He starts moving horizontal, which is a really awkward movement for the bird as he tries to fit himself through those doors. The wings prove difficult, but he manages to get them out first. Thankfully...they're attached to his arms.]

So far so good...

Yeah, no problems- ahhhh wait wait wait. Wait. [Wally winces. The shoulders are gonna be a problem.] Do those spines go down? [don't mind wally just walking right up to you and climbing onto u nbd]

[He's a little surprised at the action, but he's not really in a position to argue. At his question, though, he looks to the spines sticking out, thinking aloud.]

Hmm. I could partially transform, perhaps...

[They seem to wiggle slightly, bending back as his head ducks down.]

That is so weird. [RUDE??? wow] Can you fold them down? Like- [Wally shoves against one, in the direction he thinks a...hinge??? is going??????] That doesn't hurt does it?

[WOW RUDE WALLY. SOMEONE'S NOT GETTING SUPER SPACE JET RIDE.

The little spine does go down, but Metalhawk doesn't seem overly phased by it, at least in pain.]

No, it moves that way when I go into vehicle mode, so it's harmless.

[And he goes to move the other down, just acting part 1/10 of his transformation.]

Okay, that helps. [Wally slides down off his shoulders and stands back, hands on his hips.] See if you can get your shoulders through one at a time, and then you're practically home free.

[With Wally's confirmation, he tries again, trying to wedge himself through that door. It's definitely tight, but with his arms already outside the door he's got half the battle already fought.

It's not a perfect slide through, but he manages, pulling himself out of that door way and onto the street, looking like a bird that fell out of it's nest a little too early.]

That was anything but fun.

[Wally doesn't hide his snort of laughter at Metalhawk's ruffled appearance, but he does take a look at that destroyed doorframe and the cracked and crumbling drywall and beams surrounding it.] Yeah, the house'll probably agree with you. Looks like an earthquake happened in there.
