[Hello, Citizens of Heropa. Hope you're enjoying yourselves on this fine day! Because Metalhawk sure isn't. In fact, he was doing the same as you, performing everyday routine in his apartment and getting ready to go to work...and that's when it all went wrong. The feed opens up to show...a little minor structure damage--a broken window and door at most, both of which now have a giant metal wing through them. Sitting in the center is a giant robot, at least 27 feet in height now curled into as tight of a ball as he can, to avoid further destruction.

And boy, does he not look happy.

Looks like you finally got your third (and original) power working, Metalhawk!]

I can't say this is very ideal.

[There's an annoyed sigh, wiggling his wings slightly to try and get them out of the doorway/window.]

Would anyone be free to assist me? If I can just get outside...

[Yeah, that's not happening. You're huge, Metalhawk.

[ but um. sort of hanging up on Metalhawk for the time being. he's making short work of heading over to the poor sap's residence.

someone has to wiggle inside and see what he can do about the situation right? and quite literally wiggling around because it is mighty cramped. ]

I'm starting to wonder how I put up with you.

[Metalhawk sees Bumblebee making his entrance and, instinctively moves himself to allow the Autobot more room. He knows he's huge, don't you worry about that.]

I could say the same about your sass, Bumblebee.

...[A pause, his voice and expression softening.]

But your help and presence are appreciated...

[ snorts, smiling up at Metalhawk. ]

I've always had copious amounts of sass. You've just never really been around me long enough.

[ what he needs to do is calm Metalhawk down. get him relaxed. at least that MIGHT trigger something. it will help at any rate.

so hold on. Bee so going to find the joints and hinges that are probably strained and work small human hands in them. ]

Not sure how I am really going to help. If getting mad did this, then relaxing might help undo it? For me, all I really need to do is think about it hard enough.

Hmph, on the bright side, you know how to conceal it as a politician.

[There's no apprehension as Bumblebee steps closer. Plating doesn't rise, he doesn't shift around. Whatever Bee's about to do, Metalhawk's got trust him him. It could be because he knows the human body's capabilities now, or it could be because...

maybe Bumblebee's the closest he has to home right now.]

That sounds viable. I just have to relax.

[The moment Bee's hands slip in, he leans back, closing his eyes. A benefit to human hands? They can fit in those tight areas even the most delicate of fingers can't.]

Mmn...that's a good start.

[ Bumblebee pauses, purposefully not looking at Metalhawk. that's... that's not accurate at all. he wasn't hiding anything during his time playing with politics. Bee bites his lip and goes back to tweaking wires he knows will make the guy melt. ]

No I didn't. Maybe if I was a little more sassy and sarcastic I wouldn't have failed so hard. No, Metalhawk. I was angry and desperate for the war to just be done and I didn't want anyone to just let the Decepticons off the hook. They were dangerous and I felt that they needed to be dealt with like the criminals that they were...

[ a shrug. ]

Should've just put them on trial and be done with it. Let the people decide what to do with them. Woulda been smarter and easier on all of us. But I had to listen to Prowl and think I was something more than what I was.

[There's a pause from him too as he lets Bumblebee's hands work. It was amazing just how precise they were. How tiny they were. His eyes close, plating relaxing and shifting down. Like a bird settling its feathers.]

We were all angry, Bumblebee. Some of us still are. Some of us will be when we go back. But when I asked you to stop referring to us as NAILS, there was no snappy comeback. Nothing like Prowl would have done.

[He shivers a moment--Bumblebee must have gotten a sensitive area.]

I think about it a lot.

Maybe you weren't meant to be a Politician, but you had the planet's best interests at spark.

[ that's the thing about tiny human hands. it means Bee can really get in there. places where people can't normally reach are accessible. the only fliers he has any experience with are Jetfire and Thundercracker. there's no way he's going to fuss with their cabling so yeah.

it's a little hit and miss, but he really is going for places he knows gets tense on him. ]

There's no going back to me, Metalhawk. But when you go back, I hope you'll be a little more at ease.

[ again. he's dead. Bee doesn't even know if he's really done anything that's really helped in the end. no one else is from as far into their timeline as he. but Bee doesn't dwell on that. doesn't want to, so he shrugs and moves onto a different area. ]

Thundercracker might've said something like that to me before I left Earth. Shoulda listened then.

[Those eyes sadden. Truly sadden as Bumblebee mentions that. Being with him...-alive- in Heropa had caused him to almost forget that home had a much worse outcome than anything that could happen here.]

I feel like there's so much we could have fixed. Together.

Not as politicians. But as -friends-.

[ the silence is telling. but so is that look he is being given and it makes Bee shift warily. that's not what he wants - people to be sad. ]

There's so much we can do here. As friends.

[ there's really no reason to mourn for him. does Bee wish he had a little longer? yeah... but he's satisfied with the impact that he did have. after all, Bumblebee is pretty sure he had started getting through to Megatron. he's also making up for lost time with Thundercracker here and making amends in his own way with Metalhawk.

You're supposed to be relaxing, not getting depressed for no good reason.

[ taking both hands and SQUEEZING on a cable. normally this would be a pinch but harder to do with tiny hands! ]

[Well, Metalhawk was about to debate that, since debating is kind of his national sport, but something (or someONE) decides to squeeze on that cable. And boy does it have an effect on him.

There's a gasp at first, eyes widening as he looks down at the obviously guilty party.

Before his eyes close, as the feeling sinks in. That...feels really nice.]

[ it's a cheeky grin that's thrown Metalhawk's way. of course he did that on purpose. what are you, slow?

Bee just chuckles, then shimmies higher on birdbrain's frame. ]

[Metalhawk's plating settles again, inching closer to the ground as Bee continues to work.]

[Is he slowly starting to relax?]

Been fighting a long time. You've got to learn how to relax and work out the kinks.

[ yes, that's right. just relax. ]

Now tell me what you think about when you change forms normally.

[That gets a laugh.]

Didn't think they'd allow any time for you to relax. Not that I'm...complaining.

...You mean when I take my vehicle mode?

There really wasn't... You just sort of take the opportunity if it comes along.

[ there are little moments, here and there. hanging out with some of the humans had been a little relaxing. learning about them had been a bit of a break.

then you know. Bee and his sleepless nights. ]

And yeah. That's what I meant.

I guess...I just think of the sky. I know you're not a flier but that's usually what you think about. I guess an open road would be the same for you. Endless possibilities.

[His voice becomes softer and softer as he speaks.]

In a place where 'freedom' is questioned, that kind of feeling is precious.

[ awww, bird. you have no idea how sweet you sound to Bumblebee at the moment. he's even smiling, softly. it's... it's a nice place to go. Bee had tried to visit that place once or twice... always getting interrupted for you. ]

So think of that place again. Just don't use your T-cog.

[It's amazing how much you can let things go when you're getting a nice rubdown. His eyes closed, he tries to get to that relaxed place again, to really feel at peace.

There's a soft vent from his systems, thinking about the moment before he took flight on Cybertron. The open skies...the freedom it brought.

And soon, before Bee's eyes, he changes back into his human form, the lanky lady now residing right under him.

Cue an eye open.]

[ looks like Bee's thoughts had been correct. getting Metalhawk relaxed means that the other will calm down and transform back into a human... only one problem though.

Bee is kind of. you know. in Metalhawk's lap.

good thing he doesn't quite think anything of it. just looking at Metalhawk smugly. ]

Told you it'd work.

[Thankfully, Metalhawk is none the wiser on how awkward this could be for humans. Instead, he just smiles, holding Bee's hands a moment.]

I should listen to you more often, then.

[ okay, the hand holding might be a little too much... now he feels a little awkward. ]

We... Yeah, you should. Some times I know what I'm talking about.

[ yeah, that's kind of lame. blaming it on being distracted. ]

[Once again, lost on Metalhawk.]

Don't get too cocky. You're responsible, not infallible.

[But he's smiling as he lets go of those hands, looking for a way to untanlge those flamingo legs of his.]

Boy don't I know that.

[ that's for reminding him of that Metalhawk. great friend you are.

anyway. his hands are his own again and Bee is looking at them both. ]

Okay... Don't move. I think I can get out on my own.

[At Bee's request, he freezes, letting him do all of the work.]

Alright. I don't want to make this worse.

[Because his legs, seriously.]

...Well that's a first.

[ snorts, more of a laugh really. slowly starts to shift about. looks like Bee's about to be home free when -

well there's yelping and falling over. ]
