[ Cassandra's voice sounds nearly gone. And it sounds close- this is on the mental link, not her communicator. The communicator's smashed. (Many things are smashed, but this is voice, not video, thankfully.) She hasn't bothered to get a new one yet. ]

So if you were one of those shitheads who kept whining about how "oh, those Gods, they ruin everything", you're in fucking luck, because now three of them are gone. So if you had some sort of hang-up on Baphomet setting shit on fire, or Persephone and that flooding issue which, by the way, was her saving your asses, or with Dionysus- I, I don't know-

[ There's a brief pause. This hurts. She shouldn't be talking about it, and not in public. But she's already too far in. ]

You can just keep it all to your fucking self. It doesn't matter anymore. What a great time it is for you.

And- if you had some sort of problem with Rex, who knows what the hell that would be, and he doesn't come back- then you'd better keep that to yourself, too. Before I fucking rip your fucking mouth off.

[ There's quiet, for just a bit too long. Then, softly: ] What am I doing.

[ The feed cuts off. ]

[Ah, he probably shouldn't have returned to the topic. Too late now. Though he sounds a little hesitant.]

I wondered if there was anyone else. [A moment before he adds-] I've met Martin.

[ Ah. Dionysus was barely around the house, but it's true that with both him and Rex gone, Martin is alone in the house. Luckily, by now she knows Andy should be staying with him. ]

I've got you. We'll have people there staying with him, so- don't worry about it.

[ She sure sounds worried about it, though. ]

[He's not certain worry is the right word. But he's glad to hear Martin won't be alone.]

That's good. [She does sound worried.] That you have help.

Yeah. [ She's not in the mood to get sentimental about this now; she puts that bluntly. ]

Is this your way of offering your own help? [ He wouldn't be the first one here to do so, after all. ]

[Another pause. He's good at those.]

I don't know what I could do.

[ She makes a somewhat laugh-like noise. She could laugh, if she was in a better mood. ]

Yeah, you're telling me. I'm the one deep in this and I barely know what the fuck I'm doing.

[The honesty's disarming. He's not inclined to laugh, but he does smile, a slightly warmer tone in his voice.]

It seems like you've figured it out, though.

Are you sure? Sincerely? Because I don't know of anything in this entire disaster of a night that would tell you that.

[ She's getting a bit tired of constant platitudes from people, hence her incredulous response. ]

[This time he pauses mostly out of surprise.]

You found people to help. That can do a lot.

[It's not sincere, exactly. More a statement of fact.]

I found too fucking many people, frankly.

[ She pauses. It's how she feels, but it's ungrateful, too. She supposes, even after months, that she's still not used to how many imPorts don't have ulterior motives. Having to deal with Woden had made her the suspicious type. ]

But it could be worse. Your point?

[His point? Hmm.]

[ A short pause. ]

Well, that's- that's you.

[ She gets what he's saying. She just has trouble being grateful. ]

Whatever. If you've got anything we need to know, about Rex...tell us. Or if you see signs of him, something like that. [ She doesn't sound like she expects that to happen, though. ] Alright?

[Brandon you're on voice no one can see you nodding.]
