I have a task available for any imPorts looking for work. A simple retrieval, quite legitimate.

Something was taken from me earlier this year. A weapon I crafted with my own hands, long ago: my lightsaber. A curved hilt, which emits a red blade of energy when activated. Powerful and elegant, if wielded by the proper hands. It is past time that it returned to my care, and I am prepared to offer a most handsome reward to anyone who assists me in this task. Should we be unable to agree on a fitting financial compensation, I am quite prepared to trade in favours or information instead.

[Dooku is kinda broke right now.]

Rest assured that I desire this item for no sinister purpose. It is my own creation and rightful possession, and I have keenly regretted its absence during recent perils.

I encourage all of you who don't have some manner of weapon or suitable powers to think carefully of how you, too, can defend yourselves. We live in dangerous times, and our enemies are many. Tell me, are you prepared to protect your own life and the lives of those around you when danger threatens? The time may come for you, if it hasn't already, when you will have to answer this question in ways beyond the hypothetical.

Nobody else has directly contributed to destroying my mind and my body and used me as you have admitted to doing.

It was a very small price for you to pay in return for my own suffering.

[He's still feeling the grudge but has no intentions of attacking Dooku physically again. That doesn't mean he isn't keeping an eye on him though.]

And the suffering of your people under the Huk and the Jedi's meddling? What price has been paid for that, I wonder?

Perhaps you have forgotten certain truths while focused on your own vendetta.

I destroyed the vast majority of the Huk, which led to the Jedi's meddling. I slaughtered many Jedi as a result. They ruined my home and my people. Some paid the price.

You made this even more personal by your actions. You cannot distract me away from your own faults and crimes against me.

I do not forgive you and I do not forget. However, I do not intend to cause you more harm unless you pursue your manipulations further with me.

[There's a pause before the Count responds. He's clearly off-guard- that provocation usually would have worked.

Could it be that somehow Grievous has grown more in this place than his one-time master? Impossible.]

So be it, then. I would be very satisfied to never hear or see from you again, Grievous.

[Until the time comes for revenge of course.]

[While Grievous certainly intends to not directly confront Dooku again in a vengeful manner, it wouldn't really take much to set him off in anger again if Dooku continued to provoke him. But the General was also a tactician and he's decided an endless vendetta here was pointless. He felt he had other concerns apart from the Count and because of the Porter's transformative powers his mind was better balanced overall. That was not to say that Dooku would never be in danger from him again, but he was not solely focused on his revenge any longer.]

Oh, you will see me, Count. Our paths may not cross in person but I am not going to disappear. You would do well to tread carefully with what you do next.

[There may be a threat underlying his words, despite his intentions.]

I am always careful, General. I hope that you exercise the same caution in your own affairs.

You weren't careful enough with Constellation.

Your strategy may need some adjusting.

[He makes it sound like an insult, not advice.]

I learn from my errors, General. Do you?

Did you put such learning into my programming?

[He counters bitterly.]

You will never know for certain, will you? How much of your mind is your own, and how much is my design.

[He'll take his satisfactions where he can.]

[He doesn't like that answer at all.]

I can be certain when I force you to tell me though whatever means will best loosen your tongue.

[Yes, Dooku's getting to him. May have been a bad idea to tamper with his aggression, which is already high as a Kaleesh.]
