[ A face some might have familiarized themselves with by now, but for most, here's a brand new imPort on the Network. Sabrina doesn't look as visibly exhausted or stressed as she did weeks ago when she first arrived, appearing chipper enough in the feed that one could assume she's settling in well.
(She's not there, no.)
She adjusts the black headband so that she keeps locks of her blond hair tucked behind her ears and away from her eyes and face. In her hand, she has a notebook and a pencil. For anyone paying attention, somewhere in the corner a slick black tail can be spotted. There's definitely a soft mew before Sabrina speaks. ]
I suppose I should get into the habit of using this communicator. It's definitely handy, but... [ Her lips press together. ] Hi, I'm Sabrina. I ported in here a few weeks ago and even though the soldiers gave me some sort of introductory pamphlet I have to say it would have been nice if they had given a warning that Swear-Ins apparently have a tendency to go south.
Honestly, I can't believe those events are still sponsored since most people I've met so far have told me this is normal.
[ She showcases her notepad, setting it down on the empty dinner table of her house. ]
So, because so many imPorts have been here long enough, I'm going to ask what sort of things a newcomer's got to be prepared for. Moon base takeovers? Apocalyptic floods? Zombies? I'd rather not be caught off guard, if I can.
( ooc: please fill this form out, re: spoilers! thank you. )

[ Her gaze falls and almost all her energy seems to slip from her. She had gotten so caught up in this information that she had forgotten how awkward things are with Harvey. ]
He's... my ex, actually.

Oh. I, uh--sorry. For what it's worth? There's this guy I was... he was a friend from home, and we were almost more than that, and then he screwed up big and it was over. Anyway, he was the first person I thought of when I heard about it, too. So... I get it. I guess.
no subject
It's okay, really. It's just very recent back home, but it wasn't anything Harvey did. [ A pause. ] I was the one who messed up actually.
no subject
Well. There's a lot going on here to get your mind off it, at least? [ a shrug. ] Don't know about you, but I've been getting my place decorated for the holidays. First time away from home, you know?
no subject
Oh, that's right. Christmas is in a few weeks, isn't it? I hadn't thought about that till now.

Ah, are you [ WITCH? Or just a goth with a giant scepter... ] Pagan? [ A pause. ] Since most people just call this time Christmastime back home.
[ Smooth. ]
no subject
Wiccan, yeah. [ so witch isn't...inaccurate..... ]
no subject
That's cool. What are your traditions like?
[ She says like she DOESN'T FUCKING KNOW. ]
no subject
Yule tree, mulled cider, a Yule log. I'll probably just stay in with my girlfriend and watch some dumb Christmas movies, I don't know. You?
no subject
What made you decide to convert?
no subject
Little too personal. Sorry.
no subject
[ A beat. ]
Are your parents converted as well? Or is it just you?
no subject
Nah, just me. But my parents can rot, I don't give a shit.
no subject
Oh. [ She's got to find something else to talk about. ] So! Your girlfriend. Did you meet her here?
no subject
Oh, no, uh--Karolina's from home. We've known each other pretty much since we were babies.

Seems like the Porter doesn't like pulling people in solo for long, though. You might have some company before you know it.
no subject
I mean, I sort of have someone from home? He's from a neighboring town, though that counts for something, I think.
no subject
Who's the guy?
no subject
no subject
Uh--yeah. Yeah, I know Reggie. We're friends, I guess? We both worked for Baphomet when he was here.
no subject
... Baphomet? As in... the mythological demon, Baphomet?
[ Okay, maybe this might explain Michael in his apartment that night. ]
