Hey guys.

So, two things. First: We're having a New Years party. Why? Because on this planet they work by a geocentric calendar and everyone gets real excited and drops a big ball. But mostly because it's a good excuse for a party, not like you've had enough of those, anyway. Here's the thing: everyone's invited. Except Armitage Hux. He's not invited, he'll never be invited. Everyone else, though, should come out. Central Park in Nonah - just look for all the lights. Zozzled has agreed to run the beverages and music, so the theme is Roaring Twenties, for those who know what that means. For those that don't: just wear something that sparkles or shakes when you dance, or just wear whatever the hell you normally wear, I don't actually mind, it's just a party.

There will be security, mostly to keep the native paparazzi out, so there's a password. Just say "I'm not Hux" and they'll let you in.

Oh: and can someone bring Boba Fett? Because I heard that Boba Fett is here and I have about a million questions about Slave One I want to ask, and I still haven't met him yet. Kid, if you're hearing this, please come?

Alright, secondly:

So, we have a lot of extra space at Base One. A bunch of empty apartments. I know everyone is getting shuffled around, so if you want a space to stay that can't be switched up on you later, hook me up. We have about five empty units we can fill.

Obviously, we'll be vetting candidates - just to make sure there everyone gets on well enough. First Order need not apply.

That being said: these units are actually fully detachable, and I can fly them anywhere. So if you want a place to hole up but can't afford it, hit me up. We might be able to work something out.

What’s dropping a giant ball [heh] got to do with the New Year? And also, you’re sure that’ll keep this Hux out? He could just lie to their face and say “I’m not Hux”.

I have no idea where the ball comes in - it's about as indecipherable as the majority of Earth Festivals. Fun, though. So why not bring a giant ball?

Unless he's suddenly gained shapeshifting powers, he won't be getting in.

Ah- yeah. I can fly anything, long as it can't fight me and isn't attached to the ground.

Why not bring two, if you’re going to have one already?

Shapeshifting or illusion or just plain bribery. Or he could charm them into letting him in—make them think of him as a dear friend, just for long enough to slip inside. [Molly can’t shapeshift, but he has seen Fjord and Nott cast Disguise Self, seen Caleb cast Friends, and Molly’s used a little magic himself to nudge things in his favor.] You’d need hardier security. At least mentally speaking.

You can—okay, I kinda wanna see this. Not with the unit, with something else. Like, I dunno, a broomstick?

I have a feeling the Natives would take it as mockery, unfortunately. Also I can only fly one at a time.

Trust me, he won't want to come. Even if every other imPort here came out, he wouldn't have many friends.

Oh, sure. Uh- broomsticks tend to be a bit rough on the equipment, if you know what I mean. I can demonstrate with a carpet though. Or a couch? Or a chair--

[A theatrical sigh.] Suppose you’re not wrong. Still, it’s a missed opportunity.

If you say so. [Molly’s honestly a bit doubtful of it. Up and announcing that one person is not invited to the party? That practically guarantees they might get a bit too curious for their own good.] What did he do, start a riot at a previous party?

You have quite the night planned out, don't you? It would be fun to enjoy your company minus a stressful hostage situation.

I can only guarantee that there is only a 3% chance of a hostage situation - you know what it's like as soon as any imPorts are together.

But yeah, I'd love to have you out, doc. It'll be a good time. You like dancing?

Well, it's not a requirement. I'm sure you'll have a good time, regardless. And if you feel up to confirming or denying those rumours, I'd be more than happy to witness it.

[No he wouldn't, he'd love it.]

[ A dance was just a dance, and besides, they'd shared their first kiss on the same day that Poe kissed around three hundred people, so. ]

Dancing's half the fun of the party. I'd be a terrible host if I didn't help out.

I don't think I could ever accuse you of being a terrible host. Under any circumstance.

All the more reason to keep up my good reputation.

Besides, Doc, you've never been to one of my parties, so I'm not even sure you have enough evidence for that assertion. [ He's grinning, though. ]

Perhaps I ought to attend a good many, then. For the -- sampling size.

You've got an open invitation to any of them. [ It's not even teasing in tone, he gives Chilton an honestly warm smile. ]

And an open invitation generally. You haven't actually seen Base One, right?

I haven't, no. [He smiled in returned, although his dropped gaze masked the unadulterated enthusiasm that Chilton was presently experiencing.]

I imagine it to be rather glorious.

[ Yeah, she has no idea who that is. She also doesn't care that much. ]

[ With a tone that is way too casual: ]

So, you know, we avoid each other's parties.

Got that out of my system already. [ If by 'beat him up in a dark alleyway' you mean 'shoot him in the head and plan to bury him so he regenerates alive underground' then sure.

[With Jason disappearing, Eleanor finds that she didn't want to be alone. Not that she would blame anyone for not wanting to live with her, right now her house looks like a trash pit.]

I haven't killed anyone but the staff at Buffalo Wild Wings wasn't thrilled by Jason and I.

Well, I mean, you're already friends with most of us, so I don't think it'd be a whole lot. Basically just get Bodhi and Leia to sign off and you're good to go.

The units are individual, anyway, so you can do whatever you want to your own.

Hopefully, they'll be ok with it. Bodhi is one of the best friends I've made here.
