[The face on the screen is of a pretty, dark-haired woman in her mid-twenties. But there's something serious to her eyes, a way she seems to be taking in every detail and filing it away for future use.]

I'm not going to ask any of the "who, what, where" kind of questions. Given the briefing and the fact that this place has apparently been doing this for a while, it'd probably be kind of pointless.

But I'm Helena. Helena Wayne.

And I've got to say... the super-powers thing is the most unexpected part of all of this. Never had much need of them before, though I can't say I wasn't jealous of Karen sometimes.. Still... definitely unexpected. Anybody else dealing with first time powers?

The description makes it sound a bit like Vegas. ...Which is probably just as meaningless a name for you, I'd guess.

Human city. Very noisy, very bright. People go there to gamble.

Gamble? Like, for money?

Yeah. There's more to it than that, lots of other entertainment options, but that's the big draw.

Hm. Well, I don't know if De Chima is like that.

Probably not. Not too many places like it on Earth either, really.

I'm gonna agree with you on that. Gets my ears all wet, I hate it.

[Not exactly fun when you're prowling around rooftops either. Plus the cape takes forever to dry.]

Got caught out in it a few times too often.

And? What do you do about it?

Try to get out of it as quick as possible mostly. Other times, gotta grin and bear it.
