001: Video
[The face on the screen is of a pretty, dark-haired woman in her mid-twenties. But there's something serious to her eyes, a way she seems to be taking in every detail and filing it away for future use.]
I'm not going to ask any of the "who, what, where" kind of questions. Given the briefing and the fact that this place has apparently been doing this for a while, it'd probably be kind of pointless.
But I'm Helena. Helena Wayne.
And I've got to say... the super-powers thing is the most unexpected part of all of this. Never had much need of them before, though I can't say I wasn't jealous of Karen sometimes.. Still... definitely unexpected. Anybody else dealing with first time powers?

I've been here long enough to get used to them... well, except the new power I just got... but I never had powers back home, either. It's kinda nice.

Nice to meet you, Tina. How long have you been here?

and. "helena". there's certainly a a passing resemblance to bertinelli on that face, too. different possibilities of what the hell is happening here race through her head, and she forces herself not to focus on them. no point in speculating yet. finally cass smiles, but it doesn't reach her eyes. ]
This is... a surprise.
Re: video; id: cassandra wayne
I'll say.

Nice to meet you, Helena. I'm Iris.
And yeah, that was me, when I first arrived here. [ Iris laughs, ] Took me the better part of three months to get used to 'em too. What kind of powers did the Porter give you?
Re: video »
[An awkward question, she realizes. It wouldn't do for people to know Helena Wayne and the Huntress had the same powers... if she publicized either. But instincts to protect her identity remained.]
Nothing fancy. Just some night-vision. Looks like I'll be saving on my electric bill.

[ There's something to be said about "mundane" superpowers, especially if they make the little things in life that much easier. ]
But yeah, I could see how that would take some getting used to. It takes time, so just be patient and practice it within your limits.

If there is anything you wish to ask, let me know. It's the least we can do when new imPorts arrive.

Well, I found myself with a tricks to deal with when I arrived. I can't say it's been especially pleasant.
Re: video
Tricks, huh?

Ones even I can't explain. It's maddening, I tell you.

I didn't have powers before I got here, and because of my rotten luck I don't really have any now.
My "power" is that if I'm close enough to my dog, he gets powers.

[He gives the camera a little wave.] Hi, I'm Clark, and I can summon typewriters now.
Re: video;
Well, I can imagine a few situations where that's probably useful. Do you get paper and ribbon too?

Seriously. Just...what the fuck? This is getting to be too much. How many of them actually go by "Wayne" now?]
Wayne sure did like to collect kids.
