[ The feed opens up to the night sky of Jeopardy Nevada, coming from what looks like to be a roof of one of the housing condos. What is this person doing up there? Looking at the stars. When the camera focuses, its on Rey - illuminated by the neon lights of the casinos around the area. 

She pops what looks like a potato chip in her mouth and stares out into the distance. ]

I want to know about legends. You're familiar with Jedi given the people here where I come from -- but to me, for the longest time, they were just that. 

[ stories of hope to a girl from nowhere, and then suddenly more real than that. ]

What are some legends from where you're from, and have you discovered them to be more? 

[ It's a minor curiosity, but being stuck in a desert (even one that is better than Jakku, despite how unnerving she might find the place, or how it sets her senses on edge) is ... different than she expected, Rey doesn't know what to do with herself and she can't quite manage to sleep at the moment. ]

[ Bean recognizes the Jeopardy skyline. It's one he can see from his window right now. Judging by the parallax... It would appear she's only about two houses over. Bean gets up from his desk, stuffs his feet into shoes, and heads outside, pulling out his comm unit to reply as he does so: ]

All the legends of my world are those of this world, as I'm from a different Earth, just further along into its future. Legends of gods and great warriors. What sort of legends do you want to hear?

I'm not from Earth, I've only been here a few weeks. They might be the same of those from this planet, but I don't even know them.

[ She thinks of the Jedi, of meeting one and how he had been anything what she expected. Never meet your heroes, but Luke had come through for her, and the Resistance, in the end. ]

Tell me about the great warriors you know of.

[He doesn't know who this girl is but she's clearly from the same galaxy. He intends to find out who she is and if she poses any threat.]

And we can only hope that the Jedi remain but an unpleasant, distant legend.

[ Rey doesn't bother with text, despite it being the medium of his response. She sits up, and fixes the camera with a steely look. She won't be goaded by the likes of ... whoever this is. ]

Then you had best get used to disappointment.

[He has a moment before where he's trying to decide if this should be private, anonymous, video or text, whatever. But... also there doesn't seem to be much of a point now that he's been here for longer.]

Same galaxy, but I actually didn't grow up hearing about the Jedi or the Force or anything. The Empire's... you know. Not the biggest fan. My planet has its own legends too, but I don't know them that well. I think they probably had to do with the Force, though.

The Empire? You must be from much earlier on than me. The First Order felt similarly.

Jakku didn't have it's own legends. Not good ones, worth telling, at least. [ Like everything about Jakku, it's tales were rough. ] We would get stories from travelers or traders that passed through.

No, I haven't. Not until now, anyways.

I don't see what the issue is, why shouldn't we meet our heroes? Because they're not what we expect?

Legends? Oh I know plenty. Met a few in my time, as well. It's kind of a thing with us Guardians.

My favorite's the one about the showdown at Dwindler's Ridge. Every Gunslinger knows it, and if they don't they're lyin'. Two men go to settle their differences and only one's left standin'. Good, evil, revenge, justice? It's got it all.

[ This kind of story right here is ninety percent of the reason she took to the network. Curiosity, stories from other worlds. ]

We do have legends back home, most of them about the ocean and the sky and some about our ancestors. For example, there's a story that gets passed down about a boy that left our Islands – it's supposed to be a cautionary tale about the storms, but… to this day I have the feeling that he must have made it to the world outside.

There were many creatures that I thought were fantasy until recently.

Now I try to be a bit more open-minded about the strange things I hear about.

[ Aliens are as common as people where's she's from, so - definitely curious. ]

Well... there was a legend about a magic flower back home, that could heal people. It turned out to be pretty true...

But that's... kind of the only one I know about. I didn't get to do a lot of reading about that sort of thing.

I didn't get to do a lot of reading, myself. Most of the legends I know were told by passing travelers or traders.

But a flower with healing properties. How does that.. work, exactly? D'you... eat it?

[ that's probably the worst question but certain herbs or plants are used in healing right? ]

...you know, I've lost count of how many there are of you guys, at this point. [He's just come to accept that there's just a lot of Jedi-galaxy people by now, he just hopes there's no big blow-up on the network. Again.]

There's Captain America—we heard a lot about him back when I was a kid, he used to have all these comics about him getting printed. [Comics that Foggy collected and read under the covers, ahem.] He showed back up again in 2012, like seventy years after he disappeared over the Atlantic, like he didn't age a day. Apparently he got frozen for a while?

Enough that it's a wonder there's no fighting between us. [ She's kind of amazed, so many, pulled from all over their galaxy and dropped onto one planet. Where does someone get that kind of reach? ]

Captain America -- that's the name of this country. [ Foggy knows this. But. Yes, this is totally new information to her okay. ] Is he named for it?

Seventy years. That's a long time to be frozen.

[ Luke smiles faintly, feeling compelled to answer this, though he wasn't sure why. ]

We're from the same galaxy, though on Tatooine, myths and legends of Jedi were overly exaggerated, when they weren't just being dismissed as wizards and conmen by the farmers. There were plenty of other legends that the locals were more willing to accept as being true, no matter how much more outlandish.

You'r from Tatooine? [ That's a name she's actually familiar with, despite spending most of her life stuck on one single solitary middle of nowhere trash heap. Of course she's heard of it.

His face is so familiar yet different at the same time. Rey can place it, but no -- she's mistaken, right? He's from Tatooine, that's not a coincidence.

She stares blankly at the feed. It's the eyes. The eyes are the same, even in a much younger face.
