[ Some might remember the last time they saw Sabrina she was living in the empty Spellman Mortuary, but the view on the screen today reveals she's returned to her assigned government housing in Maurtia Falls #001. Not that she had wanted to leave her "home", but with it disappearing altogether on her there was very little choice in the matter.

Her expression is contemplative, a low hum can be heard before she speaks. ]

For those of you that come from worlds where you were born with magic— uh, or I guess were given magic powers here...? [ She shakes her head, staring off to the side as her train of thought is derailed. ] Sorry, what I just want to ask is if there's anyone who would be willing to help me hone my own magic?

[ She's had quite a bit to think about since the Diomuhr fiasco. Sorry for nearly getting some people killed. ]

I'm wondering if there's anyone whose magic is primarily based on incantations and is adept at conjurations, too. Since my arrival I've learned that there are so many kinds of magic, something I honestly didn't know much about back home. I'm hoping I could practice alongside someone whose magic is similar to mine.

[ While Sabrina's opened up more about her witch powers, she's never made a public announcement like this before. It's almost surreal. ]

So if there are other witches, that would be helpful, but it doesn't necessarily have to be a witch. Seems like magic comes in all shapes and forms across the universes and still operates similarly in some places.

[ Didn't Reggie also work in that place? She's apprehensive to ask, still feeling down about his departure. ]

Did you really employ a demon? How did you get it to obey you?

Yes, I did. As a personal assistant, years ago, mostly for the sake of my hospital. I -- ah, he just wanted a steady paycheck. And a few other favors.

Is that not normally how the deal runs?

[melodramagic]

Demons don't normally take cash payments.

[ That is so bizarre to her. She can't imagine it at all. ]

He didn't take anything from you? A sacrifice? Blood? Your soul?

[slightlyoffchilt]

[ PLEASE DON'T SAY OTHER BODILY FLUIDS... ]

Good! Well! I hadn't lost my soul in the matter, so. No harm, no foul. I think perhaps the motivations of demons might vary across the variant universes, wouldn't you say?

[melodramagic]

[ She doesn't fully trust demons, but who's to say demons in other worlds are a lot kinder than the ones she's familiar with? Still, it's a strange thought. ]

Have you ever thought of at least warding your home and workplace? Just in case.

I once had, but... I've lost those. Who could. And I suppose I've let that precaution slip. Raina, my...

[He stops, clears his throat.]

We were once bedeviled by the devil. She had known someone who could ward.

[melodramagic]

[ She leans in, curious, but he doesn't elaborate.

Instead, she's focused on what he says next, her eyes widening a touch, visibly alarmed. ]

The Devil was here? Satan?

Oh -- [Her alarm does not escape his notice.] A long, long time ago. But a few times, yes. Rather brief endeavors here, nothing to worry you about. When I had known him, he preferred the name Lucifer.

Nothing to worry about, I'm sure.

[melodramagic]

Unholy cow, how has no one ever told me Lucifer was here? Multiple times?

Has he ever hurt anyone?

[slightlyoffchilt]

Oh -- well, honestly, I didn't consider much of it. We've had so many versions of the same entity it was a bit --

Perhaps that is insensitive of me.

[He clears his throat.]

Yes, he has. Predictably. The one I had most interaction with manifested a few imPorts into the horsemen of the apocalypse. I was Pestilence.

[melodramagic]

Oh, I wouldn't be offended. I have no—

[ Sabrina startles then, the next words out of her mouth gibberish until she can find her voice. ]

What the Heaven? What?

[ She's eyeballing Chilton so hard. ]

Can you tell me what exactly happened?

[slightlyoffchilt]

A few of us were seduced into a role that had clear implications of disaster. I was not, of course. [He was tricked.] So really Pestilence was the only clean entity.

But our powers were used essentially to incite a nearly Apocalypse.

[melodramagic]

Of course he did that.

[ She's absolutely disgusted. ]

But it failed, didn't it? What stopped it?

[slightlyoffchilt]

Oh, the unified community of all imPorts coming together or something equally heartwarming, I'm sure.

It was some time ago. Things have changed since.

[melodramagic]

And we've been relatively Apocalypse-free?

[ Barring Atropos... ]

[slightlyoffchilt]

So far. This world, yes. But I suppose you might say our track record is one-nil.

[melodramagic]

... do you think something will happen, Doctor?

[slightlyoffchilt]

I can only suspect. Past is prelude, after all.
