A recent conversation made me aware of the fact that while there is a large community of people here with powers of some sort, that some of us had them already before we arrived here and therefore know how to use them, and that others only got their powers when they arrived here. [Which makes them humans with powers, not mutants, but that's not a distinction he's going to get into right now.]

Which got me to thinking. Perhaps those of us who know how to use our powers could help those who don't learn how. Figure out the specifics, that sort of thing. Or does that happen already?

That's not a terrible idea. The government kicks people out with a document telling you what you have but not how to deal with it. Most people I've seen just try to figure it out on the way.

I've been helping my brother, but if I can help others, I'd be willing to give it a go.

Their reasons for bringing people here and giving them powers would be a lot more effective if they knew how to use them.

What sort of powers do you have?

Exactly. They've thrown some people into this world with no idea what to do with their powers. You'd think they'd take the time to prep a person better.

Me? I was born with a power that's hard to explain, but they gave me ghost powers that I've had to figure out on my own. It's like a bad joke, really, these powers. But they are useful.

Especially if they want them to use them.

My powers here are the same as the ones I had before, but at home I did spend many years not knowing how to access their full potential.

Yeah... thankfully they don't seem insistent on using us. Yet.

My father used to run tests on me and my siblings to try and find our full potential. I don't care for his ways, but it's given me a idea of how not to treat people and powers.

Just on knowing who we are, what we can do, and where we live.

[Don't get him started on that. And it's still better than the alternative.]

There will be absolutely no testing of that sort performed on anyone. Or testing of any sort.

Yeah, basically. It's a little concerning isn't it?

No testing is perfect. That's the kind of environment I'd want to work in. Like I said, I'd be willing to work with others who need it. My ghost abilities pair well with physical abilities as I can ghost out of the way. And I'm generally patient with others. So, count me in to help.
