Hey, everyone. Dick Grayson, here, I'm a new guy. And I've got a question. Is there any way to practice or tamp down a power that’s… kind of passive?

[There’s a light growling sound, Dick turns and raises a hand.]

Just a minute! [He looks back at the camera.] This is just getting a little--

[Before he can finish his sentence, there’s another growl and a blur of sandy colored fur tackles Dick. A very large blur of sandy colored fur. It is, in fact, a lion. But he’s not trying to hurt Dick. He’s just licking his face and looking very happy with himself. Dick laughs and rubs the lion’s face, then looks upside-down at the camera.]

This is the second time Chewie’s escaped from the zoo and followed me home. I’m pretty sure the neighbors are gonna start complaining soon. So, any thoughts?

[Sorry residents of Nonah #004, this is happening in your living room.]

[Oh boy, it's the first complication. Dick's prepared for this, sort of. Tim has filled him in on the whole alternate universe thing, so there's a good chance this isn't the Selina he knows. Harley Quinn hadn't provided the same sort of complicated, since she's relatively predictable. Selina, though, she's never been quite as bad as the others and Bruce has always loved her, even if he won't admit it or do anything about it.

Dick doesn't trust her. But he still kind of hopes this version of her is different.]

He's not a pet. He just followed me home.

Honestly? There isn't a way to tamp one down that I've ever been aware of, save for someone who had a stronger and similiar power locking it down.

And dampeners. But I don't recommend those, if they even exist here.

And if the neighbors haven't complained about two robotic lions that look like war machines and a giant blue wolf that sometimes teleports, I think Chewie will be fine.

Except she keeps staring instead of talking, scrutinising every difference and similarity as she fiddles with the ring on her finger.

Finally, she makes a compromise. He won't see her expression if she sticks to voice, and she can fake a cheerful tone.]

I hope there aren't any tigers and bears in the back yard.

He hasn't decided if that makes it better or worse.]

[The amount of emotion that can be swirled into a name.... he's glad it's voice. That means he can shut his eyes and try to get his composure. Ever-helpful Chewie licks his face, which does make him smile.]

He's public as Jason Todd and may as well use it to his advantage. Based on how everyone else has been interacting, he's pretty sure this Dick is still part of the "life," but who knows what else is going on in that world?

Ignore his hair being black with blue streaks, it doesn't mean anything about his feelings at seeing Dick Grayson.]
