[ Gold. Hopefully you like gold, because you will see a lot of it. Heavy golden walls behind a large golden throne. Comfortably seated within? A potentially new face, looking pleased and overall just friendly enough despite being clad in full armor, complete with large, horned helmet and holding a golden spear in his hand.

Can you possibly see through illusions? Then enjoy Loki occupying a regular living room while casually holding a broom. He's just here to deliver a show, really. The armor and helmet are real, however.

After permitting the image to settle for a moment, he finally speaks. Loki's initial words are measured carefully. ]

Mortals of this realm.

[ He raises from his throne and takes a step forward before settling into a meaningful pose. ]

You have earned yourself the protection of a god.

[ You get another moment to take this in. Or just enjoy looking at this god. Then, all of Loki's dignified behavior and display slips away in favor of a wide, open grin and his unoccupied hand gestures lightly. ]

They could have just asked, though. You know? Instead of just pulling me here and--

[ He lets that trail off with a dismissive wave of his hand. Let's not talk about that, okay? ]

I am Loki. Rightful King of Asgard.

[ That same hand that has just been gesturing dismissively is now placed over his own chest as Loki offers a bow to his audience. ]

And I look forward to serving you.


[ For his roommates at Nonah #004: Your living room is currently stuck under an illusion. You will find yourself stepping right into Asgard's throne room. It's painfully golden. Enjoy your new Asgardian pest. ]

[ It may take the Asgardian a little longer than it would for someone more familiar with the cities and getting around, but eventually he shows up. Having since discarded armor and helmet, he is rather clad in his mostly black leather robes.

Though even without the massive horns on his head, the Asgardian is definitely on the taller side. He easily spots the man waiting for him and approaches without hesitation. Though he does tilt his head a little at the sight of the gun. ]

Please tell me you want to try that on me.

[The detective Loki is about six feet tall, so indeed a bit shorter than the god Loki. He shakes his head.]

Standard issue. I always carry it, just in case.

[He's clearly looking Loki over with undisguised interest. It's not every day you meet a god, particularly one with the same name.]

You may require something more effective in this realm.

[ Loki points this out with a short shrug, maybe a little disappointed by the response. ]

Where shall we go from here, detective?

Effective, such as...?

[He shrugs slightly.]

We can walk and talk.

[ The Asgardian just chuckles and raises a brow at the other man as he falls in step with him. Of course he isn't going to give him a clear response. Instead, he answers with a question of his own. ]

What powers were you given upon your arrival here?

[detectivedwloki]

Basically? Sharper instincts and healing others, although both require me to concentrate. They don't just happen.

[And they come with side effects.]

[ Loki contemplates that response, then but nods a little. This may not sound too impressive right away, but there may yet be more to this man after all. ]

You may not be able to heal an Asgardian to death, but at least that sounds useful.

[Factoring in his intense determination and they could become some impressive skills, if and when he decides to sharpen them. But he's not used to having any powers past being human so he's not considered them too seriously as yet. He only knows the healing works due to somebody tricking him into it, forcing him to try it. But the side effect could take a toll.]

I don't know the full extent of these powers yet. Just having such things isn't something I'm used to.

[ He looks over to the other man. ]

Now then, Detective. You wished to learn about my people.

Yes, and I'm sure there's a lot to say. As if you asked me the history of humans...

But I am very interested. For obvious reasons, but also because, well, I'm sure it's a fascinating life you must have led.

Oh, by all means. Tell me the history of mankind.

[ He's half serious. Especially since he keeps being told he needs to learn more about them. ]

And you may be right. Being a god does not necessarily get dull easily.
