A potentially new face, looking pleased and overall just friendly enough despite being clad in full armor, complete with large, horned helmet and holding a golden spear in his hand.

Can you possibly see through illusions? Then enjoy Loki occupying a regular living room while casually holding a broom. He's just here to deliver a show, really. The armor and helmet are real, however.

After permitting the image to settle for a moment, he finally speaks. Loki's initial words are measured carefully. ]

Mortals of this realm.

[ He raises from his throne and takes a step forward before settling into a meaningful pose. ]

You have earned yourself the protection of a god.

[ You get another moment to take this in. Or just enjoy looking at this god. Then, all of Loki's dignified behavior and display slips away in favor of a wide, open grin and his unoccupied hand gestures lightly. ]

They could have just asked, though. You know? Instead of just pulling me here and--

[ He lets that trail off with a dismissive wave of his hand. Let's not talk about that, okay? ]

I am Loki. Rightful King of Asgard.

[ That same hand that has just been gesturing dismissively is now placed over his own chest as Loki offers a bow to his audience. ]

And I look forward to serving you.

And how do you go about acquiring that DNA?

I'm Marco. Were you born or created with your shapeshifting or did you get it later?

[ What an odd choice of words here. ]

No. I was born with a talent for the arcane and learned this ability among others during my studies.

Well, you said you were a god. I don't know if gods have parents.

Oh, well, it's a useful thing to learn at least.

What's your favorite shape?

Well, my own of course.

Do you prefer to be something else?

Depends on what for. I mean, I don't know about you, but you have to admit that human senses sort of suck.

I never had to endure human senses, so I shall believe you on that.

But shape and senses hardly have much to do with one another in my experience.

Really? Huh. That's one of the best parts of morphing for me. Seeing things with a bird's eyes, or smelling with the nose of a wolf. You know.

So your senses are just amazing all the time?

[ As if that would explain anything. Which it doesn't. But hey, let the people believe, right? ]

And I mainly assume a being's shape for that sole reason: Appearing like someone or something else.

[ He isn't outright saying that he simply can't copy senses or abilities. But that's the case. ]

[ Marco may not know the MCU, but he knows the comics it's based on and can draw some limited conclusions. ]

I'm not going to deny that it's awesome to do that sometimes.

I used to shift shapes to prank my brother when we were younger. Even centuries later he still falls for it.

[ Marco laughs. ]

He just doesn't expect the unexpected. Which he should have figured out after at least a millennium.

[ Especially a millennium of growing up with Loki as his sibling. ]

Really? He hasn't figured it out after 1,000 years?

I don't know if that's sad or impressive.
