My friends from home are siblings. However, I wouldn't feel good about them being hosts to such a power like that. It seems... dangerous.
The last time someone got in contact with one of them we got them killed.

I have zero doubt it would be dangerous. Death's definitely a possibility.
But death on a mass scale is also a possibility, so... It's pretty likely that every possible outcome is going to suck. It's just a matter of hoping we can make it suck as little as possible.

It's AN answer. It hasn't been disproven that it could be THE answer. Lots of people willing to re-interpret, though. That ignores the risk in outright neglecting a more literal interpretation as a viable possibility.

I definitely think it's better to cover our bases than write off one possibility over another.

I'm not a twin, but I can replicate anyone on the genetic level. Like Josh's thing, only temporary, at least unless we need me to be stuck as whoever it is. And I'd rather not rob my boyfriend of my handsome self, but if it's that or the end of the world, then I guess I'd have to.

It's a potential final measure, maybe, but I think alternative interpretations of what might constitute one's mother might come before genetic copying. That might be stretching the riddle a bit thin.

If it turns out you don't need a literal twin, and I can be of help, let me know. I'm not thrilled about it, but I'd much rather deal with whatever this means for me than for an entire universe to be destroyed.

I wish I could be more help, but most of the prophesies I read in my world were either already in Japanese, or when they were translated to it didn't make all that much sense to me. Some things only really work well in the language they're written in, to people who are native to the language, and I'm not actually a native English speaker.
