So... Not that I'm anxious to potentially shove anybody onto the chopping block, but
Do we HAVE a set of imPort twins present? Do we really NEED a set of twins? And would a set of twins be willing to act as hosts to a pair of kinda-maybe-goddess-sisters in order to counter-balance their apocalypse-inducing third sister in a vague summoning ritual with unknown consequences?
I guess we should collectively and definitely establish that, right?
And then we worry about getting the chorus together.

For the record, if he comes back, I would really prefer it not be us. If at all possible.

Anyway... Your brother would be a child, right? Nobody would force him if there were other options.

Two: Yes, but isn't it a "better safe than sorry" kind of thing? Though, I guess siding with one interpretation might negate another, like if the twins weren't imPorted in at the same.
How much interpretation is typically allowed with them?

But also what batman said.
On the other hand, we're all probably fucked no matter what.

So... No??
But now people are getting into alternate interpretations versus how literal we have to be, and I'm wondering how much of a GOTCHA we may be planning on pulling here.

Given that we're talking about the Fates, it may not be literal.
In fact, I'd bet the interpretation ISN'T

But you'd have insight into Greek word games, right? Who would YOU assume we're looking for?

The last time someone got in contact with one of them we got them killed.
[ Do we want to be responsible for death again? ]

But death on a mass scale is also a possibility, so... It's pretty likely that every possible outcome is going to suck. It's just a matter of hoping we can make it suck as little as possible.

I agree that it's unlikely to be as straightforward as it sounds, though.

The issue then is landing on an interpretation we're willing to stake our existence on. Either way, it's all a gamble, and I hope they're giving points for creativity.

I definitely think it's better to cover our bases than write off one possibility over another.

I'm not a twin, but I can replicate anyone on the genetic level. Like Josh's thing, only temporary, at least unless we need me to be stuck as whoever it is. And I'd rather not rob my boyfriend of my handsome self, but if it's that or the end of the world, then I guess I'd have to.

[ She signed up to keep him away from the life-and-death stuff, right? She'd rather leave it to an adult. By a lot. The world-ending factor is hard to ignore as a possible alternative. ]
It's a potential final measure, maybe, but I think alternative interpretations of what might constitute one's mother might come before genetic copying. That might be stretching the riddle a bit thin.

Its a very vague thing, and I wish we knew more.

And that's a pretty universal wish, right now. Hopefully, we figure it out, or at least get close enough.

I wish I could be more help, but most of the prophesies I read in my world were either already in Japanese, or when they were translated to it didn't make all that much sense to me. Some things only really work well in the language they're written in, to people who are native to the language, and I'm not actually a native English speaker.
