[ If he looks a little nervous, it's because he is. Caleb, like, lives on Instagram, but this is different. This is talking to people and he's never been terribly good at it. That comes from lack of practice, surely, but all the same. At least this isn't in person, so he won't get lost in a sea of emotions. ]

Uh...hi. Hi. I'm...Caleb. They said I have to go to school, but uh...I just finished school back home? I mean, I was waiting for the graduation ceremony in a couple of weeks, but I'm done with school, so do I really have to go repeat my senior year just because I'm still seventeen?

[ He'd really rather work full time if he has to work, even if he's just flipping burgers. What's the point of working part-time and taking his senior year over again? That's fucking stupid. ]

What do I have to do to, like... [ he huffs an awkward laugh, running a hand through his hair. ] you know, not do that?

It's hard to say. Nobody has to send you anywhere. You might not leave for years, or the world might end next week. Or both.

Glad to be of service.

[ The best response to base sarcasm is always just blasé plays at sincerity; people always hate it. ]

It's hard to make any decision, without knowing the stakes of things, after all.
