My name is Jean and after reading through your posts here, I thought it might be a good idea to utilize this space to introduce myself and put feelers out for those who might know -- or know of -- me. Establish where our paths might have crossed, if at all, and maybe learn about your experiences here.

[ Her tone softens and warms significantly, less formal and introductory now: ]

I'd be interesting in learning about your experiences here even if we don't know each other, actually. Don't be shy.

[ A moment after posting this to the network, Jean broadcasts a telepathic message to those whose brain patterns and engrams are distinctly mutant asking those who might receive the message to get in touch. (No telling how far that message reaches, just given there are mutants from different universes and whatnot - feel free to do with this what you will!) ]

You're not the Jean I've met.

As these things tend to be.

You're not the first to mention that, though. Did you know the other one? The younger one that was here before I came here? There was a younger version of me running around back home for a while, too, but I'm not sure they're the same. I don't have any memories of this place.

I don't know if it was the same one I knew that was here, but she was younger. Same age as my brother I think.

I've not been here that long myself.

The only person I know here is Erik, um, Magneto and he told me... I did something stupid...

[He doesn't need to continue does he?]

Erik is here, too? [ She hasn't had a chance to speak to him, but then again, she's expecting a much different Erik than the one that has been speaking with Alex. ] It seems that a lot of us were brought over recently, but I'm not really sure that we're from the same timeline or universe.

Where I'm from, Alex Summers is my brother-in-law and long-time friend. We've been teammates off and on for years. We all live together, now, actually... which has been an interesting experiment. [ The fondness in her voice, there, would indicate she's teasing. ] I like all of us being so close, though. It's been a long time since we've all lived under the same roof.

... but I'm guessing all that is news to you.

Yeah, he is. He didn't seem annoyed with me either so that's a win.

[He listens to her, his expression changes when she says brother in law. That's... not what he's expecting but then it might be. He saw the way Scott reacted to Jean when they first met.]

Oh it is, but it doesn't seem that terrible an idea. I'd like to be friends with you if we can. I don't have that many anymore. I guess there's going to be things that I'll do that is going to be different than you'd expect as well.

Alex, as far as I'm concerned, we're still family. An extended family. It will take a little getting used, but I can take things as they come and get to know this version of you.

If you get a chance, you should speak with Scott, too.

Yeah. It'll be nice having people around to call family. I'll have to tell you all about what's happened to me. It's a 'fun' story.
