[ Hey look it's Clem! Hi Clem! Only she looks a little ... guilty, and sheepish today. She's curled up on a chair by the window, with a book open in her lap, and a look of concentration on her face. Occasionally she glances up and around at a sound of the apartment settling, or a bird chirping - any noise she wasn't expected she jumps a bit in surprise. ]

.... I kind of messed up at work today. I think the man I work for is mad at me.

[ Or just a little concerned, Same thing. But uh... what exactly she did to make him concerned in the first place ...well, she knew she screwed up badly there. ]

Is Thane still here?

[ She hopes he is, but...wouldn't be surprised if he was gone - that tended to be the norm; people leave. At least he hasn't died right? After an awkward pause, she decides to offer another question. ]

And... um..What's a tibisp? I can't find it in the dictionary.

[ Taste wasn't that important. She's had to eat stuff that tasted horrible, just so that she had something to eat. However she wasn't going to point -that- out. It seemed inexcusably rude. ]

Forget it. [He nods] Try it. I can't wait to see if I remembered those potatoes right.

[ She pauses a moment, but doesn't say anything further. Food first. Eagerly she picked up the potato - who cares about utensils, just eat, right? Taking the first bite and chewing thoughtfully. Hrm... HRM... ]

.. It's really good..

[ Holy crap is it good. She couldn't get over the taste of hot food, and she's been here almost over a month already. ]

I can get another potato from the store, and bring you one with the stew?

I've got garlic for you and some different kinds of cheeses. Also bacon. If you're interested.

[Ward's chest hurts and he can't figure out why.]

Clem's eyes widen slightly, as she glanced down at the potato. Holy crap she can put bacon in this? ]

I love bacon... I haven't had it in .. in over a year. [ TOO long to go without bacon as far as she's concerned. ]

I.. If I go get another potato, can I come and bring you some stew? We can trade, for the garlic and stuff. And the bacon.

[ Can't forget that! ]

[There's something brittle behind his gaze. Something painful. ...What would I have to do for it?

"Well Ward. What would you like to do?"

He looks away.]

...Trade's a trade. But even if you can't get a potato I'll...take whatever you have on you. Maybe you let me cook you a meal someday.

[ He'll take whatever she has on her. There's a phrase she's heard before. She shifted, uncomfortably. ]

... I don't have anything else. ..just the stew. And the potato.

[ Which she was going to give him anyway. And okay that wasn't entirely true - she's got weapons, but she's not telling HIM that. That would be dumb. ]

.. yeah? That'd be really nice.

[Ward's smile is warm] I'd like to if you'd let me. I gotta warn you I'm a terrible cook with most things, but I can make potato skins, and perogi and dumplings. And stuffed crab potatoes.

[He holds up a grocery bag] And I have bacon, garlic, salt, and some turkey and tomatoes for you.

That's more than what I can make. Um..

Except for what you showed me. [ And she's watched people cook up animals they caught like rabbits. ]

[ She reaches up to turn the burner down, then off, not wanting the stew to overcook. ]

When can I come by?

[ Oh well that gives her plenty of time to practice making stew and that potato snack. Only she won't have bacon in the one she's bringing him. ]

Okay, sounds good.

[ Don't be offended if she comes with her hatchet. She feels safer with it and won't use it - unless you make a sudden movement around her~! ]
