[ Hey look it's Clem! Hi Clem! Only she looks a little ... guilty, and sheepish today. She's curled up on a chair by the window, with a book open in her lap, and a look of concentration on her face. Occasionally she glances up and around at a sound of the apartment settling, or a bird chirping - any noise she wasn't expected she jumps a bit in surprise. ]

.... I kind of messed up at work today. I think the man I work for is mad at me.

[ Or just a little concerned, Same thing. But uh... what exactly she did to make him concerned in the first place ...well, she knew she screwed up badly there. ]

Is Thane still here?

[ She hopes he is, but...wouldn't be surprised if he was gone - that tended to be the norm; people leave. At least he hasn't died right? After an awkward pause, she decides to offer another question. ]

And... um..What's a tibisp? I can't find it in the dictionary.

Glader slang. Don't worry about it.

[ Nah, he won't be a total jerk today. ]

But yeah, sounds pretty shucked to me. Undead, huh? Like zombies? What's the deal with that, if you get bitten you become one?

[ Glader? And HEY, what, five? Wow, that's like, HALF her age. so rood. Fortunately he didn't voice that or she'd get offended. ]

[ And the screams were things she could not stop hearing some nights. ]

[ Chances are high he still will say it out loud some day.

He's seen something like that. A close friend of him being swarmed and ripped to pieces, not by people though he wouldn't be surprised to hear things like that happened on his world given the fragile mental states of people infected with The Flare. ]

[ Yeah no. Well she assumes he means about as fun as a bullet through the head, but still, she doesn't respond to it. Instead focusing on the latter. ]

It's nice to have electricity again. And running water.

[ He pretty much means about as fun as a bullet through the head. The sarcasm helps him sleep at night. ]

[ Though he's been sans a house since coming here, so it's not like he's really had those conveniences himself. ]

[ Sarcasm is something she's still learning when it comes to responding to people. But she was surrounded by tons of people full of sarcasm before, so she was used to it. ]

What's your favorite thing about it? Having a house or apartment, I mean, with stuff in it?

[ Random much, Clem? ]

Considering I tend to camp out on park benches and rooftops? Not a whole lot.

[ Not actually living in the provided houses does make it a little harder for him to have a favorite thing about it. ]

[ Pause. And then a baffled.. ]

They didn't give you a home?

They did, but I decided to pass on the offer.

[ .. he ..decided to pass? This is an insane choice to Clem, considering they almost never had a safe place to stay. ]

How come?

I'm not really an "indoors" kind of guy.

[ Also last time he trusted someone and slept in the bedroom they offered him, he was locked inside it and starved for several long days. So... he's not super interested in risking a repeat. ]

[ Well if she knew about that- or went through that herself, she'd probably make the same decision as he did. ]

What about when it rains?

I'll find a place to take shelter. Big tree, building with a ledge that sticks out. Shouldn't be too hard around here.
