Here's some multiversal food for thought: If you could go back to the world you originally came from but only with the caveat of having all your memories from this world with you, or opt to stay here but give up the possibility to ever go back to your world, which one do you take?

[ This has been a question from someone way too lost in thought. And definitely thinking about the fact that she's coming up on four years of being here, with only a few slight interruptions, but returning every time with her memories of this world. ]

I miss my friends a lot, but this world... being here has changed me, and I don't want to lose that.

Yeah, I know this place is a hot mess a lot of the time, but from what I've heard, imPorts can often come from worlds that are *more* of a mess. Which can give us more freedoms here in some aspects.

Since it seems our original and personal timelines pause while we're here (I've neither experienced nor heard of any differing scenario), then nope. Things would be as you left them.

Considering I'm kinda dead back home and there's no telling how long it'll take my bestie to find a way to bring me back and Vahalla could end up kind of boring in the time it takes to wait...

That is totally understandable; I spent five years being dead in my world recently. Hopefully here is treating you better, and not just because it's not the afterlife. Even if that is a plus.

Yeah, being interrupted in the middle of doing one thing or another is kind of rude. Depending, I guess, on what the thing was.

That said, I've been here almost four years, and you are right that there's a lot to do and explore here, for better or worse.

There was someone here for close to ten yearsish before he ported out some months ago. So, it varies quite a bit.
