[Well, here’s a face you don’t see…ever, really. Wolfwood comments on the network from time to time, but he’s never posted to it himself before, and he typically favors voice. He faces the camera with a smile and gives a lazy wave.] Hey. I don’t use this thing much, so I should probably introduce myself. The name’s Wolfwood. It’s nice to meet you.

[He leans back. Still relaxed, but his expression growing a little more serious.] I wanted to talk about a place in Maurtia Falls called the Endeavor Center. A lot of you have probably heard of it – it was started and run by imPorts until they Ported out. It’s a place for kids to come and participate in all sorts of stuff. After-school programs, classes they wouldn’t be able to take normally, counselling, stuff like that.

They’ve been getting by thanks to local volunteers, but they could use some more help. People to teach classes, keep the younger kids from running everywhere, or just keep the place clean. So if you’ve got some time, stop by. I’m there most afternoons these days, or you can just mention that I told you about it.

I'm not exactly sure what would be most helpful. I'm not a teacher. I'm a detective.

Hmmm...well, part of the idea is to keep kids from getting into trouble. [Legal trouble. Not exactly uncommon in Maurtia Falls. Or with kids who don't have much, in general.]

Yes, I've heard about this operation before.

I can personally relate to what some of them may be going through, having gotten into trouble in my own youth so I can give advice on how to rise above that.

You should reach out to Jane Porter! She's been wanting to do something like this too, help recent imPorts, especially those age groups, learn some survival skills. Well, she can explain her goals a lot better than I can!

Oh, yeah. [A pause.] Some of them complain about their parents signing them up for piano classes, but that's about it.

[She realizes it was probably an odd question, but the distant past still has a tendency to linger. His assurance is enough to slowly put her at ease with the idea, however.]

What a good idea-y! The kiddies here need a place that's safe and soundie between all the crazy things that happen in this worldie.

What about foodie? Growing kiddies need to be fed rightie.

Well. She did ask a question.] The are kitchens for classes, and some vegetables and herbs in the garden. A few local places donate stuff they have left over. So there's enough to go around.

[Though it'd be better to have more, in his opinion.]

Excellent. I'll teach them how to cookie and I'll make sure they don't go home hungry. [JUST. INFORMING HIM OF THIS.] You got a list of these placies?

That's a good thing you're doing, though. I wish I could help, but my schedule... [ He brightens. ] I can at least help get you guys off the ground, funding-wise. How are you doing?

[He blinks at the offer. How much could Jaime have?] Could always use more. Some of the equipment's getting worn out. And I'd like to do a few more things - get food to send home with some of the kids, stuff like that.

Hi. I'm Lacey. I can teach cooking. Or business classes. I ran my own restaurant back home. Or I could organize sports. I've coached hockey. And I sponsored a soccer team back home, or football if you're not North American. Or other games. I do like board games and card games if kids enjoy that. Or I could make snacks for them. My kids menu was so popular back home, that even the adults wanted to order off of it. What does the center need the most from volunteers?

Sounds like you're better prepared than I am.
