Is this sort of social media traffic normal here? With all the little kiddo posts? From the sound of it the animal dudes don't seem to be used to it either so I'm gonna take a wild guess this sort of thing isn't usual, yo.

I was thinking about just using this to get to know some people, ask for music suggestions, info on local hangouts and that sort of thing, but I gotta say, that feels kind of tone deaf with all this going on, you dig?

How's the ability to start a fire not useful, man? The current number one hero back home's basically a blazing fireball!

It's not really fire, unfortunately. [ He passes his other hand through the flame slowly to illustrate, then blows it out with a quick puff. ] It's not even warm. It doesn't do much of anything but look pretty.

[He's really got to get used to the fact that powers/abilities here aren't wholly based around the same mechanics as back home.]

Oh, that's a little different. The whole nanite thing isn't all that interested on being equal huh? Guess that makes sense, it's kind of the same way where I'm from.

Oh, are powers like this normal in your world? This must not be much of a change for you, then!

More or less, yeah! Not really the source, this nanite gig's super new. It's just part of human development! Something like 80% of people on Earth are just born with quirks like this.

So it's not really all this supernatural scifi stuff!

It is through the right lens; this kind of thing was rare in my world. This little blue fire isn't great, but it's a lot more than I figured I'd ever have!

Hmmm... I guess you're right. It'd be pretty wild if you came from somewhere where no one had any abilities at all.

But hey! That's the right attitude to have dude! People can do amazing stuff even if they don't have quirks or super powers or whatever it's called wherever. It's all up to the person and what they decide to do themselves!
