[ A whole month and one enjoyable beach trip later, Ace is finally crawling out from hiding under whatever bed he'd been sulking under (quite literally, actually). It's about time to figure out what he should do next after the catastrophe in De Chima and so... ]
This might be a weird question, but what kind of work is out there for a dog?
[ Or should he be a little more specific? ]
An imPort dog, not a regular one. I mean, I do sort of still have my old job, but I'm starting to think they're going to leave me suspended for a lot longer and it's getting a little dull.
[ Sure, playing regular household pet dog is fun, but he'd stopped being one of those even before ending up in Heropa. ]

Perhaps you could do delivery. Like the post or food.

Though considering I bark at the postman, wouldn't becoming one be weird?

Well. [ Ah, yes, the old job. ] I got into some trouble with the police, now I'm suspended until further notice.

[A little odd for a dog to be on a job hunt, but what isn't in this dimension?]
Some people use trained dogs to help guide them around. Even if you don't have the training, the fact that you can talk to people could be a big asset.
Voice
[ Overall great dogs to know. ]
I guess I could do that, but usually those dogs live with whoever they're helping, don't they?

Lots of different facilities use therapy dogs, and being able to speak English would be a huge asset.
no subject
What exactly do they use therapy dogs for, though? Is it like guarding old people? [ That... that probably isn't what was meant by helping the elderly, Ace. ] Or being a guide dog?

((A pause, he shakes his head. No way this is an actual TAKING dog. NO WAY. (Little do you know, Ai.) ))
Well, I know back home there are police dogs! Maybe you could work with the police. Or maybe one of those trained dogs that help around the blind. OH! But there's also hospice dogs too, and those stop at the hospitals to say hello to people; I guess that really boosts morale. Or, uhm... I'm sure there are other things to do for dogs... ((Thinking thinking thinking....))
no subject
Er. Maybe not the police... [ He's had trouble with them, ahahaha. ] I've been considering the visiting hospitals one, though. That sounds like something that'd be nice to do, assuming they don't mind a dog like me visiting.
