[006] VIDEO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Such blatant insensitivity!
[Said over the network through video by an- incredibly muscular man currently wearing- is that an apron? It's almost difficult to distinguish the apron from a dress with all the frills on it. But he appears to be wearing it proudly as he holds a soup spoon in his other hand.]
Is it reasonable to imply unregistered imPorts aren't American citizens!? They cannot vote or have a say in the goings on in their country when they never were given a choice in the matter of coming here in the first place?! What sort of decision was this!? [Whipping the spoon up and to the side and up- almost- bashing it through the ceiling of the kitchen he's currently standing in. Yes- he's that big.]
While we have been given choice to register or not, it should be separate from out citizenship! This country is completely disrespectful!!
[A pause- calming for a moment.] I- my apologies! It was rude of me to not introduce myself first, considering all the new arrivals. [Bows his head.]
Disrespectful... on my part, I am a disgrace to not recognize it sooner! I am Gamagori Ira, welcome to those who have arrived only recently and whom I have yet to had the pleasure in meeting just yet.
[OOC: Obviously taking place after the unregistered import business is announced/occurs.]

Nice to meet you, Mister Gamagori. I'm Drift.
I do have to say I admire your- erm. Passionate attitude. If I had to pick a place on Earth, I'd say I prefer Japan, but then again I only visited once.
To be fair... they do have Caramel Cream Oreos here.
Video]
To you as well, Drift. Is that all you prefer to be called? [Nooo, mister? ...Misses??]
Thank you. Oh, you have been to Japan then? I will not completely support everything my country has done either- but this show of disrespect for those the gate has brought here is completely ridiculous!
-Caramel Cream Oreos? [Wh-what now? His expression softens a bit in his sudden confusion at the topic turn.]

My, my. You are quite passionate about the matter, aren't you?
I'm afraid I am one such new arrival myself so my understanding of the situation is admittedly limited. I must ask though, if those who are considered unregistered are not contributing to society is it truly that unreasonable to exclude them from such matters? I don't mean to suggest that only those who are registered are contributing in a useful manner, simply that it may be the simplest means by which to exclude those who are not.
Although being as my home is a military state I admit my perspective on issues such as voting may not conform to that of the majority.
Of course! It concerns us all, why should I not be?
Contributing to society? I do not considering registering as an import to be the only means of contributing to society. Most unregistered imPorts usually are that in order not to be associated with the program and what is expected of us as Registered. These imPorts still live in this country and become part of the American work force! They still attend the schools! They still must obey the American laws! Is not a man who works for his daily bread an American citizen!? Is he not allowed to VOTE!? Is he too considered useless!?
[His eyes slim for a moment. A military man. So the comment of 'use' makes more sense now. But would he still say something of any other American citizen merely trying to make ends meet? The same should be said for any imPort brought here.]

[ he's guessing not. not with these tattoos on them like trackers. the question is more rhetorical. ]
We're probably not citizens because we're more like property. Bicycles don't get to vote either.

If they told us none of the imPorts could vote because we aren’t technically part of this world I’d kind of understand- but it’s clear they are only targeting those who refuse to sign up for their little army. Which only makes me all the most suspicious.
no subject
Yes! I feel the same way. Us not being a part of this world is a good enough reason to omit voting and other citizenship rights from us, but since they are allowing Registered this right- No. It seems they are doing it for a less pleasant reason. [His eyes slim, thinking about what someone earlier stated.]
It makes it seem as though- hmph. As though they are trying to make us submit! I am familiar with something of that sort...

[voice]
For a man with such perceptive ears, you would think your network volume would be turned down in preparation.
Of course.
America allows certain rights to those considered American citizens in this country. Infact, it is preferred if you are one upon moving to here! ImPorts are not told whether they are or are not citizens upon their arrival, but with this rule- it makes it known that Registered imPorts are considered American citizens enough to be allowed to vote. Meaning those who do not register are not considered citizens!
This is FOOLISHNESS. Registering as an imPort is not for everyone and all those brought here cannot be expected to meet the demands that Registration commands of you eventually- as a HERO! It's as though they are forcing us to register if we want to be treated like citizens here! Even though we have no CHOICE in being brought here and still must obey by their laws!

I'm Kite, Gamagori. A shame we couldn't meet in better circumstances. [Is he referring to the interdimensional accidental kidnapping or the latest string of fuckery? Maybe both.]
I'll agree this is unfair and a bit of a spit in the face for all of us, especially those such as myself who've only just come here. However, it's also not something new. Those in charge can often be unfair, especially against those not exactly in a position to go against them...
Just yelling isn't going to accomplish anything. We'll have to figure out a way to make a change.
video;
I realize that I should expect actions like this to a degree, and I do- but that does not mean I will take it sitting down! They will hear my voice if not the voice of the many! [A snort.]
If I may, sir, I was hardly yelling. [And he means that. This is more like his inside voice.]
