[006] VIDEO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Such blatant insensitivity!
[Said over the network through video by an- incredibly muscular man currently wearing- is that an apron? It's almost difficult to distinguish the apron from a dress with all the frills on it. But he appears to be wearing it proudly as he holds a soup spoon in his other hand.]
Is it reasonable to imply unregistered imPorts aren't American citizens!? They cannot vote or have a say in the goings on in their country when they never were given a choice in the matter of coming here in the first place?! What sort of decision was this!? [Whipping the spoon up and to the side and up- almost- bashing it through the ceiling of the kitchen he's currently standing in. Yes- he's that big.]
While we have been given choice to register or not, it should be separate from out citizenship! This country is completely disrespectful!!
[A pause- calming for a moment.] I- my apologies! It was rude of me to not introduce myself first, considering all the new arrivals. [Bows his head.]
Disrespectful... on my part, I am a disgrace to not recognize it sooner! I am Gamagori Ira, welcome to those who have arrived only recently and whom I have yet to had the pleasure in meeting just yet.
[OOC: Obviously taking place after the unregistered import business is announced/occurs.]

If they told us none of the imPorts could vote because we aren’t technically part of this world I’d kind of understand- but it’s clear they are only targeting those who refuse to sign up for their little army. Which only makes me all the most suspicious.

Yes! I feel the same way. Us not being a part of this world is a good enough reason to omit voting and other citizenship rights from us, but since they are allowing Registered this right- No. It seems they are doing it for a less pleasant reason. [His eyes slim, thinking about what someone earlier stated.]
It makes it seem as though- hmph. As though they are trying to make us submit! I am familiar with something of that sort...

But thing is, we’ve basically been kidnapped here. Brought here against our will. Tossed into jobs we did not have any say on. And God knows what they have done to our bodies to give us these new set of powers if we didn’t have any before. But we’re supposed to be grateful enough to become mercenaries under their name?
Not only that, but they are using the little comforts we have in this strange land against us, to try to convince us to sign up for their little war games or whatever plans they have for us. I’m really not impressed.

Hmmm- yes, the situation is not a great one. This is true, sir. But if they wish to have a certain image now that we have been brought here- they need to do things differently. It is too difficult for the mass to boycott them by removing their registration. Some of those brought here are so young and getting a job is hardly legal let alone easy for them. Registering is one of the ways they can get the support they need-
Though I am unaware of how it's working as it is... For those underage, shouldn't they be put under care, not made to work, not made to fight a war? [Hm, he- never even gave thought to that before.] There are many things at work here that both make no sense and only add to the difficulties facing imPorts.

[He doesn’t want to say brainwashing, but. Brainwashing.]
I’m sure they only want our help for something, but forcing our hand this way is only going to actually make things harder for them. You get people in your side by explaining your situation and giving them a common goal with you, not like this.

Sir- if I may, I never got your name. [And he should have it, you seem like a good man to know.]
no subject
Clark, Clark Kent. And you would be?
no subject
Mr. Kent, I feel now, and I believe even more so in the future, proud to have met you. I can feel your passion for this in your words and believe you mean what you say.
no subject
To be fair, that's kind of my job. Putting things into words, I mean. This just happens to be a topic that touched the wrong kind of buttons and got me all heated up. But I'm sure I'm not the only one that feels that way. [Or he hopes so, anyway.]
It's an honor to have meet someone who truly wears his hear on his sleeve, as well.

I suspect you plan on taking part in whatever measures seem best fit to deal with this issue? Unfortunately! While I wish to take a stand, I am not as familiar with American politics as I should be to take command here. [A breath, feeling rather- bad about that actually.]
Whether we can vote or not- this issue of rights separating our group should not be overlooked.
no subject
[And then, he hesitates.] Maybe ‘oppressor’ was the wrong word to use, but they are taking away our right to vote after giving it to us, as a way of getting us to act the way they want us to.

Instead, those that do not Register become part of a group just residing in America without any protection should they be targeted. That just makes it seem like we are being forced to Register even if we are unable to follow through with expectations given to Registered imPorts. What of those weak and unable to fight should it be called on them after Registering? Or someone sick? Or a child? There are many things that should be considered!
no subject
They are American, as well, so they must have known pulling this would get this kind of reaction. They aren’t unknowingly taking away something we see as our right, they know very well what they are doing and they are giving us no choose but to register and do as they tell us to do. It’s bad enough for most of us, but like you said there’s the sick and elderly and children to consider.
They don’t think of us as citizen or even people, I don’t think. They see us as valuable powerful assets to use and they are getting angry we aren’t doing what they tell us to do because they didn’t expect resistance.

Thus it calls for change. As a group, imPorts need to be better integrated in society and treated fairly. And if we are not considered American citizens they must be forward in saying so and grant us the liberty of leaving a country that does not accept us!
no subject
Exactly. So far we’re brought here, and… forced to stay here, to the point where if we leave without their permission they will hunt us down. Or so I have been told anyway. I think this whole situation isn’t making any of the sides happy and we need to work on finding a way to change it.
no subject
I fear it will be more troublesome to do so than we think. But any support is helpful. For now, we must see how this decision is responded to by others, including nonimPorts.
Should the time come, I look forward to having you on my side, sir.

Same to you. If I get any more information on the matter, I promise I will contact you.
