4, Video

This is Major-General Olivier Mira Armstrong.

I've been granted permission to lead a small expedition of National Guardsmen and imPorts to Alaska for reconnaissance and potential defense against Soviet aggression. I'm looking for volunteers.

This will be wilderness survival and we will not have backup. Rations and supplies will be what we can bring with us, and what we can gather. If you can't take those conditions, or if you can't follow my orders, don't waste my time.

If you think you can, I can use you.

Armstrong out.

[Privated to Amestrian military members who aren't Kimblee]

Alex, Elric, Mustang. I'm going to need people I can rely on, and you three are the closest I have to that.

[Privated to Commander Shepard and Kaidan.]

Shepard, Alenko. Let's talk.

In my experience, aggression met by aggression solves very little. Unofficially, I am at my core an officer of the law, and we resort to returning fire only when all other routes of resolution have been explored. Besides, I'm not currently licensed to carry a firearm.

I'm afraid I can't promise that either, but there's nothing to worry about. Invulnerability to bullets, though I'm loathe to experiment with it, is in fact one of my ah--powers.

I'd rather it didn't come to that. War is not to be incited lightly, and we clearly stand upon a hairtrigger.

Of course not. As a leader your prerogative is the safety of all first.

[ Fraser inclines his head slightly. ]

Putting up a defense is one thing. I wouldn't dream of suggesting that reciprocating intelligence along those boundaries is incorrect strategy, either. It's only prudent.

But all it takes is one gunshot, as they say, and when tensions are high on both sides, it might come from either.

Thank you, Major Armstrong. That's comforting to hear.

Constable Benton Fraser, formerly of the RCMP. I hold Canadian citizenship--I hope that won't be a problem?

General, of course. My mistake.

Do you have a lot of experience with this kind of terrain yourself?

You're right, it does. Surviving in the wilderness is by no means easy, even for those who're raised there.

It sounds like with the assistance of the National Guard you have things sewn up, but if you'd like, I'd be happy to lend my assistance to any kind of preparatory work that needs doing.

I'm committed, but to nothing that would include an exchange of ammunition. That's my only caveat and I intend to stand by it.

But I have worked with special forces formerly. I have the necessary training--you won't even notice that I'm there.

[ Apart from the red coat, but at least that'd be under his winter gear. ]

You'll contact me with further details then, I take it?

I'll be there. Assisting in this situation means a lot to me. Thank you kindly.
