URGENT BULLETIN.
[ The following is secured to the network at 9 PM, via an ID that has not been present on it yet, a simple non-interactive bulletin. It will not be responded to, although imPorts are free to engage in discussion amongst themselves. ]
ATTENTION IMPORTS!
It is come to our attention that Unsettled imPorts have been allowed to skirt our regulations regarding what benefits are and aren't received up to this month, which is a dire oversight on the part of your liaisons and supervisors. Upon discovering that the budget for imPort benefits received far exceeded the amount needed for the current amount of Registered imPorts we have on file, further investigation showed that many similar oversights have been provided for non-Registered imPorts off the books that have not been sanctioned by those of us outside of Cape Canaveral.
We are getting to the bottom of this and are making cuts in the budget where they should have been already: Non-Registered imPorts were never meant to be receiving these benefits for as long as they have been. Furthermore, upon questioning your current imPort Affairs Liaison, Captain Parc Holiday, he could not account for every inconsistency we've since discovered and showed some alarming signs of blunted affect and apparent memory gaps; those inconsistencies he claimed he could recall he admitted to committing.
Make no mistake, we in the Federal Government sympathize with the imPort plight, but we cannot afford to let free resources be given out illegally; Captain Holiday does not have the authority to make such decisions. Effective immediately he has been removed from his position as ImPort/Government Affairs Liaison and has been moved into a maximum security psychiatric facility to further study his symptoms. Until we can locate a suitable replacement or Captain Holiday proves himself truly fit to resume his duties, we are promoting Lieutenant Ananke to Captain so she can operate in his stead and will be keeping an eye on the situation as well as her performance to determine what other changes may prove necessary.

voice;
But that means Anake is willing to work with us, at least? And if you're ready to ask her that kind of questions you must have worked together before.
voice;
I've worked with her as far as communicating back and forth in an effort to look into the missing Heroes from before, and I've been... delegating those investigations to others. At the same time, I've been looking into the Hornets, who hadn't shown their faces outside of Nonah under that name until yesterday.
[ she was busy trying to save a life (and failing, and getting burned in the process) that night, so she tamps down what she can of her frustration and keeps to a level enough tone of voice. sensitive ears will pick up on the undertones of emotion. ]
Ananke has been willing. How much she can work with us may be changing.
[ But there are then avenues, and certain patterns in behavior to hold to. ]
voice;
At least we know she's, at some level, willing to work with the imPorts. She might not be allowed to, for a while, but it's better to have her step up than someone outright agonistic to us.
If you're investigating about the Hornets... I heard a lot, when we were being kidnapped, before the police barged in. I could share all I heard with you, maybe together we could figure out something more about them.
[Sharing, gasps, Lois would be appalled. But Clark doesn’t have a fortress of solitude to hide in and process everything in here, so he might as well do some teamwork.]
voice;
... I've been investigating them for months, alongside a handful of others. Any information you're willing to share with me, I want to hear. I can offer what I know in turn... or what I suspect. As for Ananke, she's been willing, and she's more honest than most officials in her position that I know back home.
Granted, she's not so high up in the hierarchy as far as power plays are concerned, but to us, she's important, and that isn't worth dismissing.
voice; + text file
To us she might as well be the only way we really have of contacting the goverment, it's definitely not worth dismissing. Which is also why the way they are treating Holiday right now is so worrying.
But it isn't worth speculating on until we know more about it.
voice;
The only one with authority. Moira has access to the Porter, but Ananke and Holiday were our government liaisons. Ananke was the security side until now... we're down any sort of reliable contacts.
[ which is really also being down on prestige, and as much as it's not something Annie wants, she notes it as being important that their standing with the government is good for the time being. ]
We really need to meet in person one of these days, Clark.
voice;
[Moira. That’s the first time he’s heard that name, and as anything related to the Porter it quickly gets his attention.]
Who's Moira?
voice;
[ She glances ceilingward. Moira is one of those she hasn't spoken with, for reasons of who she is, and where Annie's own strengths lie. ]
Moira Nomos is the lead scientist in charge of investigation, observation, control such as it exists, and monitoring of the main Porter. I haven't spoken with her myself.
voice;
[But he’s focusing on something else already, a coincidence he’s getting really tired of noticing.] Moira, like the fates, and Nomos like the Greek word for law. I knew references to mythology were common in this place but it’s getting pretty ridiculous.
voice;
[ More of those undertones of frustration, but it's all a very frustrating place to be in. Having most the knowledge base she had from before here be entirely useless once she got here has left her scrambling to catch up to an average understanding since day one. ]
voice;
But this is the first time I've heard of a world without Greek influence. That's interesting, and the fact that you've actually been researching it to catch up is even more interesting. You'd do well in the world of journalism.
voice;
[ Considering it arose out of very different sorts of... necessities in her life. Working to catch up, doing that investigative work when she can? A life skill for anyone sent into a foreign environment to infiltrate on their own. ]
voice;
I'm just saying, if you liked putting the information you gathered into words as well.
voice;
[ Military, heck yeah! ]
