We risked our asses to help people and all the media's done is talk shit about us. I figure it's time we had our own say. I've been working with Goodman on changing that, but I ain't made for cameras, so some of you are gonna have to do it.

[She really isn't good at selling this, but she doesn't think it really needs to be sold, considering that she's expecting everyone to be pissed off.]

If you can't hold your damn tongue then you ain't invited. I need people who can make a good impression, because I've seen what happens when this shit gets outta control, and it looks like the government ain't gonna be on our side much longer.

[ Mary isn't at all surprised by the reaction. It makes more sense to her than most things in this new version of Earth. But one is used to thankless jobs when an intelligence agent and a nurse, so she has no desire to speak out to 'the people'.

Of course, she has a point when saying the government may not help them for much longer. If operatives don't have government support, they need the support of the populace. But this isn't a comic book and Mary doesn't see this turning around well for 'superheroes', at least not any time soon. This idea could completely backfire, but it could help a little, who knows.

Really she is just stalking this like she stalks everything else, but she might at least say something since Kara's attempt is worth acknowledgment. ]
