hello everyone! this is aiichiro nitori again.
i didn't realize so many people talked on here until now, but i don't know if i would have said very much anyway. i feel like i have a ful schedual with school and a job, plus getting sick over break wasn't fun (๑-﹏-๑)
i've a pair of questions, however! one is that i need help with something, and another is advice.

1) is there anyone who's good with animals. see, my powers are that i turn into a duck, and i'm not sure how to do that yet, but i think i figured out how!
the problem is that... i'm worried that i might be more duck-like than person-like and might fly away or something. or event that it could take a while for me to turn back.
if there's anyone who doesn't mind watching over me for a little while, i can pay you a little as well!

2) how do you deal with homesickness?
i'm from japan originally, and not a very big city at that, so everything still feels very... overwhelming.
or is it just something you get over eventually? (′︿‵｡) it feels like forever already.

I don't think you "get over" homesickness. It's just something you eventually live with.

But living in a big city, or even in a new country and world--- well, it's not something you do just in a couple of months, unfortunately.

Try and find somewhere that makes you feel like home. There's hidden spaces in the city, you can find them with persistence; a grove of cherry trees, perhaps?

As for your other problem, I may be able to offer assistance. I transform into animals myself, and I'm afraid I had to learn the hard way.

Y..es, I do, but even that doesn't always help. I do feel a little better now, but it took almost a month to find Rin-senpai. ((a short, weary sigh.))

You were sick!? Had you no one to look after you in such a time? How are you feeling to date? Aside from homesickness, which is something many of us deal with. Being sick physically ontop of it is quite alarming! If you need further assistance do not hesitate to ask others for help. I have made soup for people here before and I will not falter to do it again!

Is the whole turning into a duck thing something that you can control? Or do you transform spontaneously?
Surely there are different ways to deal with homesickness. I think that I like learning all the new things about being here.
Home is rather unexciting when I really think about it. But here, there are people with so many fantastical stories.
People who have powers where they come from, or stories about different dimensions and realms and universes.
Maybe the way to get over the homesickness is to embrace something new.

i'm not totally sure how to answer that since i can't control it, but i've never just... suddenly changed either! i think i know how to make myself turn into a duck, but i don't think i can know how to transform, surprised or planned, until ive done it at least once.
right?
(i'm still not very good at this stuff at all.)

ohhh.
i really like that approach to it, though.
i was saying earlier it might help if i just researched why food would taste different in different places.
though going in head first sounds scary, too.
is there some where you would think is a good place to start?

I have some limited telepathy when it comes to animals, but it's mostly limited to aquatic creatures. It's worked on lizards in the past, but their brains aren't as developed as other land animals, I suspect.

At the very best, I'd be able to nudge suggestions at your brain, but you might still be able to refuse them.

it's like when someone say "don't think about X" because then you end up thinking about it anyway! even if it's just to remind yourself not to think about it.
and then it becomes complicated and more depressing.

i don't really think turning into a duck is the most interesting power out there, but i'm sure they had a reason for giving me it if i have it.
and it's alright! not too long before nanase-san talked to me, someone else had already offered. it will probably work out a little better, since he seems to transform, too.
