[The ID reads Clark Kent, as always. Not the right time to try fooling the network yet.]

Sadly, Captain Holiday was put under intensive care not long before I ended up here so I never got to talk to him. But I was hoping some of you might have gotten a chance to contact him before that. If you have, I'd appreciate if you could tell me about your conversations with him.

You don't have to tell me what the conversation was about, I understand a lot of them were confidential. [That word, he hates it. Lois might see it as a sign that she's pulling the right strings but Clark only sees it as a wall he cannot punch or fly over.]

It's really him I'm interested on. If you noticed anything weird in how he behaved, perhaps, or if he was acting completely normal.

[He pauses for a second. And then:]

I'd also be interested in talking with people who've been able to take a look at the Porter, or been in contact with it. I understand it's a privilege to be allowed near it?

I didn't speak with him, just read the other conversations.

[ there's a pause, and a shrug in his tone. ] He seemed completely normal. Rational. Level. Well adjusted.

[ the way thomas says it makes it obvious that he thinks the entire diagnosis is a bunch of horseshit. which, really, he tends to be pretty frank about anyway. ] If there was anything about him that was going unhinged, it set in abruptly and developed fast.

Everyone seems to agree that there was nothing wrong with him, at least nothing noticeable. His husband did say he had had an episode back in September but even he suggested this one had been far too sudden.

[He sighs, scratching the back of his neck.] It doesn't make any sense at all. Why would they rush to pull him away from us? Especially in this way, it was obvious we were going to react to it.

And episode? Did you get details on what kind of episode?

[ his lips press, not that clark can see it, and thomas lets out a slow exhale through his nose. ] Because he was helping us too much? Because he had information they didn't want us knowing? Because he got in the way?

You saw the name on that post, right? L. Chases?

Not really, no. The word 'confidential' was happily thrown around, apparently he couldn't tell me much without getting both of us in trouble. Which honestly I think it proves the government wasn't exactly happy about his job, or that he knew too much.

[He sighs at the name, making the most of the fact that he can't be seen and running a hand through his hair in a nervous gesture.] Yeah, I did. Lachesis.

The references keep on coming.

Not a good sign when the government thinks you know too much. Hope he's got a good amount of job security.

[ or security in general. like, body guards. and people to poison-test his food. ]

Between that and Loki's post about the sisters from the three cities, it's like we're getting beaten over the head with it.

Yes, Kate linked me to that one. I haven't been here long enough to make my own theories but to me it does seem like there has to be something behind all these references, a common point.

It's a lot more than just the cities. That's just the latest, glaring reference. I put together a file on it, open to the public. [ he'll be linking clark to this.

'son' seems... alright. it sounds a little too much like 'kid', which isn't a term he likes to be called, mostly because it makes him feel like he's being looked at as incompetent. or defenseless. neither are things he likes to be. but he doesn't comment on it, only narrows his eyes some on his end of the line, where it can't be seen, before he answers evenly. ]

About two and a half months, give or take. It's Thomas, by the way. [ there, he has a name now he can use ]

[Take no offense to it, Tommy. His cousin is just as powerful as he is, if not a little more sometimes, and he still treats her like she's made of glass.]

Thank you for the link, Thomas. That's incredibly thorough, especially if you have been here for just just a little bit longer than I have. Did you have some kind of investigative job back home as well?

No problem. [ he's making the link public, basically to help out any new imPorts get their feet under them. he doesn't mind sharing it around.

Sort of. We took care of each other. There were a bunch of us in the Glade; about 40 or 50 kids.

[ in the Glade. Now? There's 11. And dwindling. ]

[He opens his mouth, then closes it. Hm. Asking more about his world might just make things worse, and he doesn't have any right to get condescending with the kid.]

Are there any of the other kids in the 'glade' here with you?

From the Glade. It was a place, and the couple of us that started there got out before the Porter got us.

[ clark, pls. saying 'in' makes you sounds like those old people who say 'the marijuana'. but that's to say, yes, there are two other here. ]

You know Newt or Minho?

[Implying he isn't already one of those people.]

I have heard of Newt in passing, but never met either of them. They were from the Glade as well? [He can be taught!]

[ omfg clark, you adorable old dude. bless you. there is a small chuckle in his voice at that. ]

Yes, from the Glade. He was there a couple years longer before I showed up, though. Minho too.

[Don't you laugh at him, son. But nah, he's mostly glad the kid still has it on him to have a sense of humor, he sounds like he's gone through a lot. Him and his friends.]

And are they as good as gathering intel as you are?

Nah, they're a little slow on the uptake. [ said in the joking kind of tone teenage boys use to insult their teenage boys broskis. ] But they get on pretty well anyway.

[That makes him laugh. He likes this kid already.] I'm sure most people seem slow on the uptake to you, Thomas.

I'll keep an eye out for these friends of yours.

[ though it can't be seen with audio, thomas is smiling on his end, which doesn't happen terribly often. but for real, though, so he doesn't sound like a total ass: ] I dunno. I think I just like figuring stuff out more than most people.
